We bring you the sad news of the passing of a long time club member Mr Graheme Watson.

Graheme Watson has been a member of the club since 1 April 1964.

His funeral is Monday 21 September 1.40pm at York Crematorium.

Front runners in York Ladies Darts Lge Fulfordgate were brought down to earth as Inn on the Green took home a 3-6 result. Anita Adams won the opener for the visitors, colleague Toni Smallwood hit a maximum however Dawn Exton levelled for ‘Gate, wins from Kirsty Alexander and Jody Hancock saw Inn to a 3-1 advantage however wins for Di Moreland and Amanda Britton sent the teams into the pairs all square. Jody was joined by her captain Sue Tate to edge Inn in front, Toni and Kirsty with a 24 dart pairs secured the win, Anita and Kirsty added a point.

Severus now move into top spot after a fine 3-6 win at Holgate, Tree Crossey started with a win in the opening game, including two tons, colleague Babs Russell added a point before Nicole Shaw put the hosts on the score sheet, wins from Ellen Mayne and Rachael Holloway, gave the visitors a 1-4 lead, another win from Nicole sent the teams into the pairs 2-4. Kirsty Jackson combined with Sam Medd to seal the win for Sev’ Alisha Day joined Tree to add another point, the final pairs saw Gemma Coulson and Diane Cole making the final score 3-6.

Burnholme made home advantage count as Denise Thompson and Mags Handy started the ball rolling, Karen Simmons pulled one back for visitors Leeman. ‘Holme captain Marj Pearson gamed 25 darts followed by wins from Babs Harrison and Jo West. Babs and Jo joined forces and a 60 checkout from Jo sealed the win, Mags paired with Denise then Marj and Denise made the final score 8-1.

Lawrence (SL27) had Karen Alton, Wendy Sullivan and Becky Thompson winning before Emma Frankland and Pat Bowness pu visitors Edinburgh on the score sheet, another win from Becky mad sure SL27 took a 4-2 advantage into the pairs. Chani Alton-Thornton and Jess Harrison sealed the win for the home side whose mother and daughter Karen and Becky added to their tally as did Wendy – Chani for a 7-2 win.

YORK LADIES DARTS LGE saw the top two teams face face one another, Top team Fulfordgate were away to second place Severus. Sev’ captain Babs Russell won the opener followed by Tree Crossey to take 2 – 0 advantage, Amanda Britton pulled one back for ‘Gate only to see Kirsty Jackson restore the home teams advantage. Michelle Britton’s win made the score 3-2, Babs’ second win win sent Sev’ into the pairs 4-2 up. Cara Britton was joined by Alex Exton to reduce the lead, the Amanda joined by Di Moreland set up a decider which saw Kirsty combine with Rachael Holloway sn**ch victory for the home side, to move within one point of leaders ‘Gate.

Leeman hosted Lawrences, Dawn Clarke won the opener for the home team, Jess Harrison, Lucy-Anne Sullivan and captain Becky Thompson replied, Leeman captain narrowed the margin before Kaz Alton sent the teams into the pairs 2-4. Lucy-Anne was joined by mum Wendy Sullivan, then Kaz joined by daughter-in-law Chani Thornton, Becky-Jess pairing up and winning for a final score of 2-7.

Rose Gray won the opener for Acomb Cons Clubs on their visit to Inn on the Green, Tony Smallwood and Kirsty Alexander replied, Hayley Cross’s win levelled the scores, Jody Hancock edged Inn in front only to see Chris Hedley sent the teams into the pairs all square. Inn made home advantage count with wins from Jody and Vicky Sellers, Kirsty with Rose Hancock then Anita Adams joined Toni for a 6-3 result.

Holgates Diane Cole and Nicole Shaw put them two up at Edinburgh whose captain Chris Lamb then Megan Bogue-Lynes and Amanda Britton edged them in front, a win from Kat Thackery levelled. Kat was joined by Sandra Flintoft to edge the visitors in front, Donna Lynes and Pat Bowness set up a decider, Jasmine Amies-King with Mary Thornton sn**ched the win for Holgate.

FULFORDGATE hold on to top spot in YORK LADIES DARTS LEAGUE after a 7-2 win against visitors Edinburgh, Michelle Britton started with a win Emma Frankland replied for the visitors. Then wins from Alex Exton, Di Moreland, Amanda Britton and Dawn Exton secured the win, Amanda and Di joined forces to make the score 6-1, then mother and daughter Dawn and Alex added a point 7-1, sisters Amanda Bevan and Donna Lynes double Eddy’s point score.

Severus two points behind ‘Gate after a 1-8 win at Acomb Cons Club, Sev’ had wins from Racael Holloway, Beth Johnson, Kirsty Jackson, Ellen Mayne, Alisha Day and Tree Crossey for a clean sweep in the singles. Beth and Ellen then Kirsty joined by Lauren Dunn added to Sev’s tally, Acomb captain Rose Gray was joined by Maggie Bedingham to stop the whitewash.

Marj Pearson and Burnholme colleague Jane Dobson gave them a 0-2 advantage at Lawrence (SL27), whose Kaz Alton, Wendy Sullivan and newly wed Chani Alton-Thornton replied, Sarah Jackson’s win sent the teams into the pairs all square. Jean West and daughter Jo gave ‘Holme the edge however mother and daughter Wendy and Lucy-Anne Sullivan set up a decider which saw Mags Handy join Sarah to sn**ch the win for the visitors.

Sandra Flintoft gamed in 25 arrows to give visitors a start at Leeman whose response was lethal, Julie Oliver,Karen Simmons, Heather Bulmer, Vicki Capes x 2 sealing the win. Julie was joined by Dawn Clarke, the Heather and Karen’s wins add to the home sides tally, Mary Thornton with Jasmine Ames-King made the final score 7-2 to Leeman.
