Said to be the home to the ghost of George Villiers, the Duke of Buckingham, who was rumoured to have been made famous by the Georgie Porgie nursery rhyme, the pub has a very interesting history and features on ghost walks throughout the city centre. The pub has a cosy, traditional feel to it with fantastic oak beams, a lovely open fire in the winter months and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.The

Cock and Bottle is a pub in the heart of York. The Cock and Bottle has 3 HD LCD TV's showing live sports, with Sky and BT. With the ability to show two different events at once in different parts of the bar with full surround sound. We also have a selection of traditional pub games like darts, table football, dominos, cards and gambling machines. We do a pub quiz on a Sunday night at 8pm with drinks and cash to be won. We have a large selection of spirits, lager, real ale and cider along with a nice mix of bar snacks.

Very proud to be involved with raising money for this amazing charity! Watch this space for the next fundraiser coming up at the pub!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Mark and everyone over at The C**k and Bottle!

The C**k and Bottle are amazing regular fundraisers, always coming up with exciting events, raffles and more to support York Against Cancer. Just this year alone, they have raised over £800! To put that in perspective, that can pay for more than 26 exercise classes for cancer patients.
