*️⃣🥫SPARK:Give - PHASE ONE🥫*️⃣
We’ve been wracking our brains about the best ways we can continue to support out local community during LD3. We’re lucky to have such a willing and helpful group of people down here on Piccadilly, including our traders, staff team and other partners, and so there’s been tonnes of ideas flying around since we closed last week.
We were planning to launch this later in the week, but after the posts we have all seen across social media in the last couple of days, highlighting the frankly disgusting approach towards free school meals in some parts of the country, we decided there was no time like the present. We feel it’s only right that we do what we know best and try to help! If those in charge of these decisions nationwide won’t do that, community spirit and people power will.
From Tuesday to Sunday between 12PM-2PM, we will be welcoming donations of non perishables (tins, dried pasta etc), warm clothing, and hygiene products. Please ensure items are bagged up, and left at our front gate (there will be a sign stating where to place donations!) 🛍
All donations we receive will be sorted through, and safely distributed to relevant local charities, including our very own food heroes at York Food Justice Alliance ♻️
