HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

While most people’s thoughts turn to romance this Valentine’s Day, the Oddfellows are inviting people to fix up a friendship date instead.

Romance is great but it’s not the only way to make you feel more energised and valued.

When it comes to feeling loved and emotionally supported, forging strong friendships can help us to feel more fulfilled and satisfied with life.

Here in York, we still have the following events lined up to give York residents the opportunity to experience the feel-good factor of friendship this February:

- Wednesday 15th 6 pm Craft & Chat Art Room in Clements Hall

- Sunday 19th 2.30 pm York Brass Band Concert Grand Opera House

- Monday 20th 10 am Meet Up Mondays 6 Imperial Court

- Saturday 25th 2 pm York Film Club Community Hall in St Edward The Confessor Church

Help spread the love and let all of your friends know about the number of fun social events that we host such as coffee mornings, concerts, games, lunches, trips, walks and books, craft & film clubs.

Whether you want to stay fit and active, find new ways to give back to the community, or you’re looking for new ways to get out and about and socialise, the York Oddfellows is a great place to start.

We're always ready to welcome new members to the York Oddfellows friendship group.

For further information head to www.oddfellows.co.uk or contact the York Contact and Social Co-ordinator Sarah Walmsley on 07762352847 or email [email protected]

PHIL'S UP A TELEGRAPH POLE & I'M AN ODD FELLOW!!

Phil has re-trained and is now a fully qualified Openreach engineer.

Don't be surprised if you see him 'hanging around' in York.

I am now the Social Co-ordinator for the Vale of York Oddfellows.

The Oddfellows are a non-profit society that aims to improve the quality of people's lives through friendship, care and charitable support.

I'll be raising the profile of Oddfellows and planning loads of free and inexpensive events in York including Coffee Mornings, Walks, Trips, Holidays, Sports, Talks & Demos, Games, Arts & Crafts, Wellbeing, Food & Drink, History, Films, Culture, Live Acts & Music and so much more!

For future events, like & follow the Vale of York page.

Really glad that we could help out the Collective Sharehouse with a Saturday Sharehouse.

All the well wishes that we’ve received today have been overwhelming and this drawing of South Bank by York Artist Elliot Harrison will take pride of place, framed, on the wall in our living room along with all of our other Yorkshire Wall Art.

Thank you Diane & David
