Hi all! Well, as some of you are aware, after just over seven brilliant years of The Block, we will be closing business on the 31st of December. This is due to a number of reasons which I won’t bore you all with. Nothing negative, the decision has been made for positive reasons such as having more time to do the things I want and spend time with the people I care about.
I’ve loved this place and have loved making it what it’s become. It’s come a long way from an empty space in 2018. I can’t thank people enough for supporting me and helping me create the block as it stands today. From my parents being there through the whole journey, all the friends who helped to paint and build (you all know who you are). To Sam and Jan who helped out massively to get things to the next level and then to Jane and Alan who kept pushing it more. And lastly to Elle who’s gotten to see every side of me. Thanks for being there and supporting me and The Block. It’s been bloody great.
Shout out to all the staff along the way, you have been great and much loved. Thanks for being apart of my little adventure, you’ve all played a massive part.
Lastly, thanks to all you guys. The regulars and the ones who have been coming since the very beginning. The ones who camp in here (won’t name names but you know and there are definitely names). The pizza lovers, the music lovers, and the beer lovers, and all of those in between.
If it wasn’t for you guys, I wouldn’t have lasted seven months, never mind seven years, least your bank accounts might be happier.
