Occasionally in my current job I get to paint on walls!! 🎨

This was a very fun project researching the history of the Falcon Pub in Micklegate, finding photos and original documents and then putting it all together into this timeline!

I loved doing this project and I think it’s made such a difference to the decor of the pub and is a definite hit with our customers! I’d love to do something like this again!

Trying to sell an “Immersive Experience”-
What they think it’ll be vs what it actually is

We’ve got to have a little fun with but in all honesty let’s hope this doesn’t have too much of a negative impact for those of us trying to create brilliant immersive experiences (often on a much smaller budget!).

It was already difficult to explain what “immersive experience” meant and even harder to convince venues to allow us to run these experiences or to encourage people to purchase tickets and come along! It sucks that company’s like this one are happy to take peoples money and phone it in. This is NOT what an immersive experience is and I encourage you, dear reader, not to be put off! There are some of us out there that really care about making our events magical!
