Announcement: Just Salsa is diversifying!
We started at the end of the pandemic, as a salsa only night (hence the name) and we greatly appreciate the support that you, the Yorkshire dance community has given us thus far, so thank you!
Our event has grown since 2022 and we have all seen and felt the ongoing shifts in the Latin dance scene, in the mix of dance styles and music that draws different people in and keeps everyone engaged.
So, after four fantastic years as Just Salsa we are going to reflect the community changes in the way our events are run.
George & Vicki will be moving forward with events and socials at the flagship venue as the independent ‘Sabor y Salsa’ (literally Flavour and Salsa!). This will give scope to embrace all the styles of dance, the music that appeals to a broad demographic, as well as to invite top tier professionals and artists from all disciplines to be part of these events and share with us their fantastic skills.
Just Salsa will continue separately, aligning itself more closely with its initial ethos of ‘Just Salsa’ as a local night/event for people who only want to dance salsa!
Keep following the group and page for future updates and event info.
Sabor y Salsa will continue with the wonderful Riley Smith hall as its venue (with that amazing dance floor), for both the daytime Bootcamps and evening socials. ALL of the existing dates booked will also be carried over. The event will still serve existing salsa lovers, whilst also offering up additional space for other dance forms. You’ll shortly see the new branding across the existing Just Salsa events and new events will be created for the rest of 2025.
Thank you again for all of you support, energy and feedback to date and we’d love it if you’d continue to support both the Just Salsa and Sabor y Salsa teams, in their new guises and endeavours.
