🛟 SUPPORTING OUR RNLI 🛟

We're incredibly proud at the Royal Solent Yacht Club to support the RNLI, especially the RNLI Yarmouth Lifeboat and the amazing work they do to keep our communities safe.

A number of RSYC members volunteer in the local RNLI shop, and RSYC members and staff, past and present, are on the lifeboat crew and head out whenever the pager goes, whatever the weather.

Please come and support our RNLI at the Royal Solent Yacht Club Curry Night on Friday 2nd October. It promises to be a fantastic evening with a quiz, a raffle and great food all raising funds for this incredible charity and the lifesaving work of their volunteers.

🌟 HUGE CONGRATS, OLLY! 🌟

Royal Solent Yacht Club member, Olly Mayo, has been selected by the Royal Yachting Association to join a new transition group called the Olympic Academy in the ILCA7 - this moves him from the youth programme into the senior programme.

Olly's selection recognises his development trajectory and his potential contribution to the programme environment. We understand Olly's 1 of 4 U21 boys to be chosen. Olly and all our Junior Members are truly inspirational!

We had some challenging winds this week but it was huge fun out there. Thank you to the RO team and all the Boatmen who made this event possible ✨

✨ ROYAL SOLENT SUNSET SERIES UPDATE ✨

Huge congrats to Co32 Strongbow for taking line honours by a country mile in last night's race. The wind and the tide favoured the bigger boat (and her crew were awesome too!)

But victory went to Co26 Samphire of Hurst with a corrected time of 1:06:27. Well done 🥇And thank you to the RO for a great course!

Same time, same place (and same weather!) this evening for the final race of this series. The Royal Solent Yacht Club's Main Bar is open from 1800h for all spectators 🍻
