IT'S WOTTON PRIDE THIS WEEKEND! DESCRIBED AS THE BEST PRIDE EVENT IN THE COTSWOLDS!!

This Saturday, 13th June, and for the third year in a row, we're hosting a Bottomless Drag Bingo Brunch! Drink as much prosecco as you want, eat a delicious brunch and enjoy two drag artists, .drag.collective's .agra.drag and , bringing you bingo and comedy... all for £35! Drinking starts at 11:30AM sharp, and you get 90 minutes of drinking, finishing just in time to enjoy the parade!

What a weekend! A great start for the June menu and finishing with a packed Saturday Supper Club.

This Friday is already almost full, but we have some space on Saturday… and don’t forget that watermelon salad is Saturdays only… for now.

As the weather warms up, our town gets lots of walkers who of course dine out at all of our eateries. We want you to get the reservations you want so tentative bookings for our community are fine - we don’t charge for cancellations but please give us as much notice as possible.

Needing almost no introduction we bring to you… our sesame and ginger slaw! Mixed with noodles and topped with peanuts and coriander, we’ve come to realise this is one of our signature dishes. Many a guest has asked when this will return to the menu… and we can tell you it’s now!

Last call for May menu! Next week we’ll be launching our June menu, so this is your last chance for dishes like our warm salad with a lemon and herb dressing, our infamous jambalaya or our chicken pie with the flakiest pastry top.

We were lucky enough to take a quick trip to Greece last week and OH BOY the food didn’t disappoint.

We ate a dish at a local restaurant of watermelon, feta and mint… and of course when we got back to the villa we had to recreate it!

We’ve made a couple of tweaks and are putting the dish on June’s menu! Keep your eyes peeled as we’ll launch the menu next week.

This chicken pot pie is soooooooooo good! Chunky pieces of chicken from our local butcher in a creamy sauce with veggies and chicken stock. Topped with the lightest puff pastry and served with sautéed greens. It’s not one to miss!

Our Saturday Supper Clubs are still notorious for their vibrant atmosphere and of course food. That fourth course, giving a little extra time with the loved ones at your table, adds a little extra special something.

Ladies who dine together, stay fine together 😍😍

Our chicken pot pie and peaches & cream tarte tatin had rave reviews last week, and these three enjoyed them in unison.

Chicken and veggies in a creamy sauce with our secret seasoning blend are topped with flaky puff pastry, to give some buttery texture, and served alongside spring greens. Peaches two ways are served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream all inside a brown sugar-caramelised pastry. Only empty plates in sight!

A celebration of Milli’s life will be held on 22nd May, and all who knew and loved Milli are welcome.

Milli will leave Grimes & Goscombe on the Chipping at 12.30PM where she will pass Good Food Kitchen on Long Street, and it would be wonderful to see you out on the street.

From Wotton, Milli will the move on to Westerleigh Crematorium (guests to arrive by 1.15PM) to say a final goodbye.

After the service, we’ll all come together at The Royal Oak to raise a glass from 3PM and remember our friend.

Good Food Kitchen will be closed that evening to allow Milli’s teammate friends to celebrate Milli’s life with her family and loved ones.

Our May menu is here! Yes, we know we’re a bit late but we think our reasons for the delay stand strong. Spring is definitely in the air, but as there’s not *that* much sunshine planned for the next few weeks, we’ve made sure this menu is balanced between bright and comforting dishes.

Zingy plates with pomegranate molasses or basil slaw are contrasted by warming dishes like chicken pot pie or bean chili. As a small tribute, we’re going to do our best to make Milli’s pakoras (Saturdays only in May). We know no one can’t make them quite the same, but if we get 70% there they’ll still beat anything else around.
