Facebook memories taking me right back to our very first day at The Falcon Steakhouse, 15 years ago today.

It’s mad to think how much has happened since this status was written. There have been plenty of ups and downs, a lot of hard work, some brilliant memories and more steaks than I’d ever attempt to count.

I genuinely feel like The Falcon is better than it’s ever been, but I’ll be honest, this past year has probably been our toughest. Looking back at what we used to pay for things compared to what we pay now is pretty scary.

There’s nothing I’d love more than to drop our prices and make us more accessible to everyone. The reality is, even with what we charge now, we’re making less profit than in any of our previous years — despite being massively busier and welcoming more people through our doors than ever before.

That’s the challenge of running a small business at the moment, but it’s something I’ll keep working at. Finding ways to improve, offer better value and make sure The Falcon is still here for many more years to come.

A massive thank you to every member of staff who has been part of The Falcon over the years, and to every customer who has walked through our doors, recommended us, returned time and time again or supported us in any way.

We genuinely wouldn’t still be here 15 years later without you all. I’m incredibly proud of what The Falcon has become and very grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.

We were actually one of Katy’s first clients and couldn’t be happier with the photos she’s done for us.

She came down on a busy Sunday morning and just got on with it, capturing the vibe and atmosphere of The Falcon that our customers have come to know and love. Nothing too staged or over the top, just really good natural photos of us doing what we do.

If you’re looking for a young local photographer who’s easy to work with and has a really good eye for detail, you can’t go far wrong with Katy.

Really pleased we got to be one of her first Jobs and I’m sure you’ll be seeing plenty more of her work on our page in the future.

🧹 MEAT THE TEAM TUESDAY 🧹

This week we're introducing another member of the Falcon family...

Meet Kirsty! 👋

Kirsty's Falcon journey started many (many) moons ago as our weekend cleaner. Then one evening we were short-staffed, she jumped into the kitchen to help with the washing up... and we quickly realised we'd found an absolute grafter! 😂

One shift became two, two became three, and before she knew it, Kirsty was practically full-time — working as a Kitchen Assistant, plating desserts and, most importantly, keeping the chefs in line! 👀

Then came something she swore she'd NEVER do... Front of House.

Despite insisting she'd be rubbish at it, Kirsty proved herself completely wrong. These days you'll find her FOH more than anywhere else, and she's become one of our friendliest and most professional team members — and someone our customers absolutely love! ❤️

She's also rather proud to have joined the ranks as one of The Falcon's longest-serving members of staff.

Huge congratulations to our wonderful Cheryl who married the brilliant Ryan yesterday!

Me, Jen and the rest of the Falcon team wish you both nothing but the best for the future. You make a fantastic couple and it was really lovely to be there and celebrate such a special day with you both.

And what a party! An absolutely brilliant night from start to finish, plenty of laughs, plenty of drinks and far too much dancing.

My feet are absolutely killing me today, which I suppose is the sign of a good wedding

Congratulations to you both, and here’s to many, many happy years together
