alternative arts to worthing Welcome to the Cellar Arts Club! So who are we?

The Cellar Arts Club is a members bar, offering something alternative and very special. The Club is a not-for-profit Users' Co-operative, staffed and run entirely by volunteers. It’s a really friendly, comfortable, left-field (but non-cliquey!) space where we host live music gigs, poetry, art shows, talks, arts quiz nights, dj nights with our fab in-house jocks, and we now have our own off-the-wall arthouse cinema! We’re open from 7.30 to midnight on Friday and Saturday, from 3.30 till at least 7.00 on Sunday, with events spread through the rest of the week. Come along and join for only £20 a year. We’re at the corner of Prospect Place and Marine Parade, below the View Café, near the Lido. Children over the age of 10 years, are welcome on Friday and Saturday until 8.30pm, and on Sunday until 6pm. Well-behaved dogs are welcome any time,

Long before Spotify algorithmically ruined discovery, Joshua Burkett was wandering the New England underground with nothing but a guitar and enough patience to make tar smells feel like déjà vu. This Saturday afternoon we will be welcoming him to Cellar for a very special early show from 4-6pm, with support from Brighton’s Mazozma, and DJ sets from Lula Frango to boot.

Two live shows, an epic DJ night, and the return of DRAG-ged Through History ? We are treating you this week!

Friday night we’ve got the one and only TV Smith, armed with just a guitar and his unmistakable voice. Expect classic, cult faves, and newer material.

Saturday we’ve got a matinee show from Joshua Burkett, one of the rocks of the New England rock underground, with support from Mazozma and a DJ set from Lula Frango

And Saturday evening is the next instalment of KEEP IT SOCIAL, an evening of sonic delights and musical mischief.

We’ll be rounding off the weekend in style with the DRAG-ged Through History Halloween special, with rituals of comedy, song, and stupidity.
