3 years of the Signal Post!
We were told it was a terrible climate to open a bar in (but when isn't it?), we were told Rowlands Road wasn't the place for it, and we had to spend a whole year turning an old bank/derelict bookies into the kind of cosy spot we wanted to drink in.
The climate hasn't gotten better, but Rowlands Road is genuinely an incredible community to be a part of and if you're going to turn an abandoned building into something special, it helps to have Fleur on your side.
A massive thank you to every single incredible person that has worked behind this bar, helped us out, backed an idea, covered a shift, fixed something, carried something, told us at 2am the wind has set our alarm off again, and championed us as a great little nook to hang about in.
And, most importantly, thank you to everyone that has come through the door over the last 3 years. Doesn't matter if you're one of our day ones or you only discovered us last week, you're the reason we get to keep doing this.
Three years done, many a lesson learned, and as we enter year 4 there are some exciting developments on their way (we'll tell you more about that soon).
