Bars and restaurants across the UK are facing increasing pressure from rising costs, while paying one of the highest VAT rates in Europe.

In France, Spain and Italy, the VAT rate is 10%. In Germany it is 7%. Only Denmark has a higher rate than the UK.

We're backing the campaign to reduce VAT for hospitality from 20% to 10%.
