I walked our garden today in Worcestershire with a great deal of optimism. Spring bulbs up and ready to bloom soon, acers and rhododendron and other shrubs in bud. The lawn simply put us the hard work in autumn looks likes its paying off. First high cut yesterday, its looking ok.

The season of the long shadows in the UK. An opportunity with a break from the rain. Autumn activity I find is so important for a prosperous Spring lawn. The last light cut and all leaves removed. Never walk on a frosted lawn or in snow works for me.

Historical Malvern, fresh water off the hills taste great this morning. If you ever want to test your lung capacity and scramble up the hills is recommended. Great to see to renovation of Malvern theatre completed. We have stayed at the Abbey hotel which sits next to the Priory where today the poshest farmers market was in full flight. And finally a small and outstanding breakfast ag the London house café in Malvern link... highly recommended.

Marcelo Pelleriti was the first Argentinian winemaker to receive 100 points from legendary wine critic Robert Parker. I bought a case of this lovely Malbec Argentina wine a few years ago from and we have final got to a few of them. 2018 vintage, this is a fantastic wine, smooth velvet soft tannins, I confess not to grasp any oak. An exceptional bargain still at todays prices. We drink in moderation and only at the weekend so we only drink the best.
