Remembering Alex on his 42nd birthday today.
For those of you lucky enough to have known Alex personally, I’m sure you will share the same fond memories of our son, chef, brother, landlord and friend.
He not only fed the majority of Worcester for the last 7 years, but he was truly loyal and committed to making a difference in our Worcester community and beyond. There are no words to describe what a loss it has been to the Pope family and friends of Worcester, but Alex will forever live on in our hearts and minds.
The Pope family have had to overcome many challenges the last couple of years and it’s been wonderful to experience so much warmth and support from you all. We thought you might be interested to know about an incredible journey Graham James Pope has been taking on for the last week…
- Graham Pope
“My wife Wendy has Alzheimers which has been devastating or my self and our family but it has increased my awareness of the diverse nature of the disease in younger age groups and often concentrated through some families all requiring extensive and diverse research.
I have been able to enjoy some diversion getting my 1952 Morgan 3 Wheeler back on the road and attending local runs and events building to this run to Germany to link up with the German Owners Club .
It has taken a great deal of preparation greatly assisted by friends from Morgan West Midlands 3 Wheeler Club my local and will be a demanding drive of 1500 miles over 14 days as I traverse Northern France then into South Germany for a 3 day touring event then return.
I am one of the few driving, not trailering my 74 year old car to and from the event and thought it would be great to create some benefit from this enterprise for a worthy cause close to my heart.”
We want to support Graham as much as we can whilst he completes this incredible journey and for such a wonderful cause, if you or someone you know would like to donate, please follow the link here to get involved: https://www.justgiving.com/page/graham-pope-1?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL.
