There’s something special about knowing exactly where your ingredients come from; even more so when they come from right within the village.

Jack Johns, who you’ll often find behind the bar at The Farmers Arms, is part of the family behind Woolsery Milk. A farm shaped by generations of working together, caring for the land and continuing a proud farming tradition.

That connection between farm, family and village is something we’re incredibly proud to celebrate at The Collective at Woolsery. Woolsery Milk makes its way into the kitchen at The Farmers Arms, where it’s used in our desserts, our cultured butter and more; a beautiful local ingredient with a story that begins just down the road.

From the family farm to the Farmers Arms, it’s a small journey that represents something much bigger: generations of knowledge, local produce and a community working together.

And just like that, the children are back at school and summer begins to slip quietly into autumn.

It’s been a wonderful season here at Woolsery.
Long days around the table, beautiful food, memorable events, familiar faces and new guests discovering our little corner of North Devon.

From busy evenings at The Farmers Arms to summer gatherings, produce from the garden and all the moments in between, it’s been a season shaped by good food, good company and the people who make Woolsery what it is.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Here’s to a wonderful summer, well spent and to everything the new season brings.

Every day our sourdough is made by hand here in Woolsery.

Slowly fermented, carefully shaped and freshly baked at The Farmers Arms, using rye and einkorn flour from Shipton Mill in Gloucestershire.

Enjoy it at The Farmers Arms, or pick up a loaf from J Andrew Shop to take home; perhaps with a jar of our homemade preserves.

Fresh every day, until it’s gone.

Today the team got to hang out with our friends at North Coast Wines. And who doesn’t love a wine tasting day?

We’ve built a great relationship with the team there from day one, and when we are lucky enough to spend some time with Alex, she shows us all kinds of new and wonderful things for our menus, so we can keep it fresh and funky with wines you don’t see everyday.

Great people, great wines, and exactly the kind of relationships we love building at The Collective with other local, independent businesses.

Cheers!
