📣 An important event is coming to Woodborough and our community's voice is needed.

A free screening of The People's Emergency Briefing is happening at the Woodborough Club and we strongly encourage everyone in this and surrounding villages to come along and take part.

This 50-minute documentary cuts through the jargon and brings together leading UK scientists to explain what the climate and ecological emergency actually means for our everyday lives – from food security and energy bills to extreme weather and public health.

Crucially, the screening will be followed by an open community discussion on what these challenges mean for us and what local steps we can take. Danny Kruger has been invited, making this a prime opportunity for residents to share thoughts, ask questions, and help shape our future.

📅 Tuesday 3rd November

🕕 Doors open for free refreshments at 6pm. Film 7pm. Discussion 8–9pm.

📍 Woodborough Club, Smithy Lane

🎟️ Tickets: FREE, but limited, so please reserve your seat here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peoples-emergency-briefing-at-woodborough-club-tickets-2002197528706 (Recommended for ages 16+.)

Whether you're deeply passionate about environmental action or just curious about what the data means for our local area, your perspective matters. Book your place, bring a neighbour, and let’s make sure Woodborough is part of the conversation!
