Yesterday we went to Wolverhampton Wood Recycling after we heard they had this set of lovely furniture which had come from the Director’s office at Banks’s Brewery. We felt it important to try and save a bit of our towns brewing heritage and while we can’t brew, we can sup at lovely tables 😉 a lot of other things from Banks’s have now gone to the new Springbanks Brewery , which is great!
The table is extendable to a large 8 seater but most of the time will be closed up to the normal size. Plenty of room to sit around the game!
If you wanted to reserve this table for a meeting of 6-8 people give us a days notice but it is available.
Our Board of Directors met at it after work last night to congratulate themselves on 8yrs of trading, but sadly no pay rise just yet, they haven’t earned it 😉

I’ve won two tickets to the Gardeners World Show at the NEC on Sunday 21st June. Obviously I can’t go as I’m working 😞
If anyone would like to take the tickets off my hands make me an offer, they are worth £70 for the pair. Any money raised will be added to our pot for Macmillan Cancer Support. Highest offer by Sunday midday will take the tickets 🙂

Thanks to Tony & Jane for bringing in a box of their spare pepper plants last night, they’d all gone by closing!
Which made me think, if anyone does grow plants / veg etc and has too many, feel free to bring them in as there’s always someone else happy to take one home 🙂

Including a very welcome return to Blue Monkey Brewery with their award winning cask plus over the next few days we’ll get on 🥇 Independence by Bristol Beer Factory, it has been crowned CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain 2026 at Cambridge Beer Festival — the most respected cask beer competition in the world, judged blind, no labels, no brewery names. Just the beer in the glass.

4.6%. American pale ale. Citrus, piney hops, caramelised tangerines, grapefruit, and digestive biscuits on the nose. A dry, peppery, bittersweet finish that lingers. Refreshing, full-flavoured, and smooth. The judges' verdict was unanimous.
