Hi everyone.
I just want to take a few moments, pint in hand of course, to say thank you. As many of you know, I’m stepping down as your publican. It’s a strange feeling, because this pub has been more than just a place of work for me – it’s been a home, and all of you have been like family.
Running this place has never really been about the beer taps or the barrels – it’s always been about the people. The laughter, the late-night chats, the stories shared over the bar, and the community spirit that fills these walls. You’ve all made this job a real privilege.
I’d like to thank the staff – past and present – who’ve worked so hard alongside me. A pub only runs smoothly because of the team behind it, and I’ve been lucky to have some of the very best by my side. And to the regulars, you know who you are – you’ve kept the place alive with your loyalty, wit, and friendship (and yes, sometimes your bad singing).
Though I’m moving on, I’ll always carry fond memories of my time here. This isn’t so much a goodbye as it is a ‘see you around’ – you’ll still catch me on the other side of the bar from time to time.
So please raise a glass with me – to good times past, and to all the great times still to come. Thank you all for making this journey one I’ll never forget.
