A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE POPLARS, WINGFIELD

Christmas is a time for family, togetherness, kindness and making memories with the people we love.

With that in mind, we have made the decision that The Poplars will be CLOSED on Christmas Day, 25th December.

Behind The Poplars is a wonderful team of people who work incredibly hard, often giving up evenings, weekends and special occasions to look after our customers.

We believe our staff deserve the chance to put their aprons away, switch off the phones and spend Christmas Day with their own families and loved ones — just like everyone else.

To all our wonderful customers, friends and neighbours in Wingfield and the surrounding villages, thank you for your incredible support throughout the year. You are what makes The Poplars more than just a pub — you make it part of our community.

We hope you understand and support our decision, and we look forward to welcoming you before and after Christmas for plenty of good food, drinks, laughter and festive cheer!

A huge thank you to everyone who came to the Poplars Quiz Night! 🧠🎉
Despite the temperature trying its best to turn the pub into a sauna, you all stayed, laughed, quizzed, and only melted a little. 🌞🥵
Thanks for bringing the brilliant atmosphere, questionable answers, competitive spirit, and impressive hydration efforts. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
See you at the next quiz—hopefully with fewer degrees and just as many points! 🍻😂
