Our Story

In the centre of Bray, The Crown is a 16th-Century village pub serving modern British pub food with a focus on seasonal ingredients, in an informal, friendly setting. Awarded 'Best Pub in Berkshire 2017' for two years in a row. The menu features a variety of British pub classics such as char-grilled Hereford sirloin with marrowbone sauce, fish and chips with mushy peas, and bread and butter pudding with white chocolate and vanilla ice cream. As the philosophy of the kitchen is to create simple, flavourful dishes using seasonal produce, the menu changes according to what is in season. The pub is a former inn, with low-beamed ceilings and open fireplaces – perfect for cold winter evenings. In the summer, guests can enjoy food and drink outside in the large garden or in the courtyard with its overhanging grape vines. There is plenty of parking for guests at the rear of the pub.
