So how was your summer? Ours was a little busier, thankfully, but also shorter-staffed, than expected. We’re still looking for a brunch chef and a supervisor if anyone knows of any hospitality professionals looking for work! We also experienced some really mean customers in the last couple of weeks of August; presumably people had finally succumbed to weeks of overheating! It is very rare to have to tell people directly that rudeness and aggression will not be tolerated at Cabinet Rooms! We are now looking forward to a cooler and cosier Autumn.
Thankfully the overwhelming majority of you are blooming lovely! Thank you for being kind to our team ❤️
Anyways, as always, we worked our way through the tricky times and even managed to get away to East Sussex for a couple of days to recharge the batteries. On our way home, we were able to stop off at Charleston House for a cup of tea and a flapjack. As you may know, the Bloomsbury Group were a massive influence when Marcus designed the interior of our café-bar so it always feels wonderful to visit their spiritual home near Lewes.
