Are you all set for Hallowe’en?

Marcus has grown pumpkins especially for the occasion. Visit the café this weekend and marvel at his display of homegrown gourds.

The team have all been challenged to carve a pumpkin again this year. It’s a busy time for the students but if anyone brings one in we’ll share the results with you!

Cake and Cocktails Club is back on Tuesday 3rd November with a spooky season special!

We couldn’t resist inviting Tommy from Witchmark in to help us celebrate Hallowe’en.

Join us from 2pm for a gin cocktail and chocolate cake for just £12.

Tommy will be here from 6pm to introduce you to Witchmark’s delicious gins and vodka.

Did you know that we source all our eggs from the lovely folk at Vale Farm? It’s a family-owned farm just outside Wi******er. And their team of happy, free-range chickens lay our eggs no more than 36 hours of them being delivered to us.

You can enjoy them steaming on toast for breakfast…or in one of Marcus’s cakes!

Our new autumn menu has landed and feedback so far has been amazing.

Current favourites are the Sweet Potato Tartine and the Roast Beef, Remoulade and Gruyère Toastie. All hearty food with seasonal flavours.

Also, news flash, our weekend brunch is now available ALL WEEK. So if you’re looking for a great value Full English in a pleasant and calm setting, you know where to come!

This is the real face of CRAFT BAKING in Wi******er. No shipped-in cakes here; just Marcus baking his socks off on almost a daily basis!

Things don’t always go to plan of course, so for the sake of keeping things real on the gram, here’s Marcus after a little chocolate mishap in the kitchen. Thankfully he bounced back quickly and our supply of Chocolate and Espresso Cake was unaffected!

We had a team outing last night to see Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. It’s probably no surprise that we’ve got some big film fans in the team so we couldn’t miss out on this EPIC blockbuster!

Did you know that we also show films in our little screening room downstairs at the café? Not the new releases you’ll find at a regular cinema but a wide range of fantastic films nevertheless. You can find out what’s playing by popping into the café or signing up to our email newsletter. This Sunday we’re showing one of my all-time favourite films. Made in 1981 it is, I think, a great accompaniment to the Odyssey if you need another Greek mythology fix!
