Changes are coming to The Nog Inn… 🍂

From October, our spring and summer opening hours come to an end and our autumn/winter hours will take effect.

After six months of working every day, and working most shifts, we’re going to be changing things up a little – and we have to admit, we’re rather looking forward to Sunday evenings off during the winter! 😊

From October, Sundays will look a little different:

🥓 Sunday Brunch: 9am–12pm
🍽️ Main Menu: 12pm–3pm
🍻 Pub closes: 4pm

We’re really excited about introducing our new Sunday brunch menu and can’t wait to share more details with you soon.

We hope you’ll love the changes as much as we do… and after a very busy summer, we think a little Sunday evening rest is well deserved! ❤️

Pork belly is proving popular once more! 🤩

Without a doubt, it’s one of our best-selling dishes – and we can certainly see why! Crispy pork belly, creamy mash, seasonal vegetables and delish Calvados cream sauce… proper comfort food at its finest! 😋

Just a little reminder that we’re CLOSED tomorrow — Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August. 🍻

It’s actually our first proper day off since the last Bank Holiday in May, so we think it’s fair to say it’s very much needed! 😂

We’ll be putting our feet up, taking a breather and hopefully enjoying a little bit of sunshine before we’re back at it.

We’ll be open again from 4pm on Tuesday 1st September, ready to do it all over again!

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Monday, whatever you’re up to. ❤️

Wow! What a day yesterday! 😍

Our special completely sold out — chicken breast stuffed with Gruyère & sage, served with tarragon sauce and sautéed potatoes. And judging by the empty plates, it went down rather well! 😉

We had a steady lunch, followed by a very busy evening of drinkers, diners and plenty of hustle and bustle.

Days like yesterday make all the hard work worth it. ❤️

And a huge thank you to our brilliant team, who worked incredibly hard yesterday — and, of course, every day. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you. 🥰

And today? We’re doing it all over again! 🍻

We’re open 12–9.30pm, with food served 12–2.30pm and 5–7.30pm.

Come and see us, grab a drink, have a bite to eat and enjoy your Sunday with us. ❤️

In the morning we prep, and in the afternoon we cook! 👩‍🍳

Today’s kitchen is already well underway, with a big batch of chicken kadhai curry bubbling away and our chicken, leek & gammon pies being prepared for later. 🍛🥧

There’s plenty more happening behind the scenes before we open at 4pm, and we’re looking forward to a busy evening serving you all.

💻 Catching up on admin

It’s all part of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps The Nog Inn running smoothly.

Our very own figs, straight from the fig tree — and, excitingly, the first year it’s ever produced figs ripe enough for us to actually use! 🎉

Now comes the important question… what on earth shall we do with them? 🤔

Just a quick heads-up that we’ll be closed for lunch tomorrow while we carry out some much-needed maintenance work in the kitchen.

But don’t worry, we won’t keep you waiting too long! 😜

🍻 Bar open from 4pm
🍽️ Food served 5pm–7.30pm

Normal service will resume as usual afterwards.

The truth is, we’ve been far too busy in the pub and looking after all our lovely guests staying with us! 🍻🛏️
