Last weekend, we swapped build schedules for festival vibes and spent the day at West Moors FarmFest 🌾☀️

As people who spend a lot of time helping create spaces for events, it was wonderful to experience one simply as "visitors" this time around.

West Moors Farm is a social enterprise and charity, part of Sturts Community Trust providing support and opportunities for adults with varying support needs.

There’s so much work that goes into bringing this event together, and one that we’ve proudly supported for a number of years.

A fantastic atmosphere and even more fantastic cause to get behind. We left feeling inspired (and very well fed!).

There’s something special about The Open Championship.

It’s not just the golf, it’s everything around it. The atmosphere, the crowds, the setting… it all adds to something very special.

We've been on site as part of the build team for Arena, helping build structures that create the environment thousands of people will move through over the week.
It’s the kind of event where every detail matters. It’s not just how it looks, but how it flows and feels once the gates open.

WH Silverbacks are once again super proud to play a small part in something this iconic.

Stretch tents are often seen as the more “relaxed” option…but in the right setting, stretch tents can be one of the most effective structures on site.
Why? Because they adapt.

Different layouts | Awkward spaces | Guest flow
Stretch tents give you flexibility that more rigid structures sometimes can’t.

They work particularly well for:

→ Informal hospitality spaces
→ Covered outdoor areas with character or venues that are ‘tight’
→ Events where flow and atmosphere matter just as much as function

And when installed properly, they don’t just look great, they really perform.
Stretch tents give you weather protection, a strong yet versatile structure, and a layout that works within a specific, and sometimes challenging or quirky space rather than against it.

With events that need temporary structures, it’s always about choosing the right solution for that environment.

Sometimes that’s a traditional structure like a marquee and sometimes it’s something more flexible.

Some jobs stay with you.

This one was from a couple of years ago now but we’ve been going though past onsite photos and this is still one of our favourites.

Not because it was easy. But because it was one of those builds that really tested the team.

Long days, plenty of challenges, and a lot to figure out along the way.

At one point, we all stopped for a quick bit of dinner, tired, probably covered in mud, but still pushing to get the job done.

And that moment pretty much sums it up.

Because in this industry, it’s not just about the structures. It’s about the people behind them.

🤩 The ones who problem-solve on the fly.
🤩 Who keep going when the pressure’s on.
🤩 And who pull together to make it happen, no matter what.
