The Cricketers Arms in Wimborne is a community pub that has both Sky Sports and BT Sport which combined with our 5 TV screens means we cover all sports events. In keeping with the traditional sporting pub theme we have a pool table and multiple dart boards available for use. Well this is pretty bloody cool… 😂

The Great British Pub Awards have officially introduced their finalists for BEST PUB TO WATCH SPORT 2026… and there’s the little old Cricketers Arms from Wimborne sitting amongst the FINAL SIX PUBS IN THE COUNTRY! 🤯🍺

Not a bad effort for a little independent pub taking on some absolute monsters. 💪

Five screens, three sports at once, darts flying, pints pouring, away fans arriving, locals shouting at referees… and somehow our brilliant staff keep the whole circus running! 😂🍺

This is our second national final in three years, and whatever happens from here, we’re ridiculously proud of what The Cricks has become.

A massive thank you to every member of staff, past and present, and every customer who walks through our doors and supports what we do. ❤️

The holidays are over, the darts are coming back out and apparently we've decided that a normal darts league still isn't enough for us… 😂

🎯 THE CRICKS MONEY LEAGUE IS BACK! 🎯

The brand new 15-WEEK SEASON starts:

Average at darts? You'll fit right in.

Absolutely bloody useless but enjoy beer and somehow occasionally hit a double? You could probably win the thing. 😂

Because anyone who's played our Money League before knows we don't exactly take ourselves too seriously.

Yes, there's proper 501.

But over the season expect the usual Cricks nonsense…

🍻 WE’RE HIRING – EXPERIENCED PART-TIME BAR STAFF 🍻

📍 The Cricketers Arms – Wimborne

The Cricks is looking for another superstar to join the team! 🙌

We’re looking for an experienced bartender to join us on a part-time basis, helping cover our busy evenings and weekends.

⚠️ Previous bar experience is essential.

We’re a proper wet-led pub and Home of Sport in Wimborne. One minute you could be serving through a packed Premier League game, the next it’s darts, live music or just a good old-fashioned busy Saturday night.

So we're looking for someone who already knows what they're doing behind a bar and can hit the ground running.

You’ll need to be:

🍺 Experienced working behind a busy bar
🙋 Friendly, confident and great with customers
💪 Reliable – if you're on the rota, we need to know you're turning up!
⚡ Comfortable working at pace when the bar gets hammered
🧠 Able to use your initiative and see what needs doing
🤝 A proper team player
🌙 Available for evenings and weekends

We’ve worked hard to build a brilliant little team at the Cricks, so we're not just looking for someone to pull pints.

We want someone who gets what a proper pub is about – chatting to the regulars, welcoming new customers, keeping standards high and mucking in with the rest of the team when things get busy.

There may also be the opportunity for additional hours and responsibility for the right person.
