Whilst I'm advertising for today, I'd just like to take the time to Thank John Ringo Steen for a fantastic Rock Disco last night & also Thank You to everyone of you who donated to the defibrillator fund! ❤️

As most of u already know.. we lost our wonderful friend Sonny (Anthony Ball) two weeks ago today (30/05/2026). 💔
He was a regular customer here every day of the week & weekend along with his brother Andy. 🥺
His favourite tipple was always a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.
All of the regulars here have been raising a bottle in memory of him. We aimed for 67 as that was his age, but continued to 100 which we hit at 10pm tonight! 🤗
I've personally donated £1 out of everyone bottle towards a defibrillator for the pub. That's £100 in the kitty from here so far. 👍🏼
There's a sealed tin here that will be opened once full in front of independent witnesses if anyone would like to pop in to donate too please. Any loose change at all I'll be grateful for.
There's been three critical medical emergencies here within 18 mths so I need help to raise money towards the cost of the defibrillator as I can't get the funding for one. 😢
I've never asked anyone for anything before. Please pop in to donate when u can. Thank You! ❤️

The pure determination of us all & your brother Andys' unwavering love & non-stop continuous support kept you alive for another 13 days letting you have a little more time with your family & friends & to see your 67th Birthday through.

The customers who helped us that day have already said they do not want any Thanks whatsoever for their assistance on Sunday the 17th of May, but I feel they should be highly praised for their hard work that day as I couldn't hold him up any longer alone & without them helping me get him back into the building & then doing CPR on him between them etc. he definitely wouldn't have made it to today, so Jodie Mason , Tim Rathbone , Greig Taylor , Rachael Evans & Nichola Williams please be so very proud of yourselves for saving his life whilst I & my daughter were dealing with the emergency calls.. YOU ALL enabled his family to have that last Birthday & lots of extra time with him. God Bless you all! ♥️
