Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II The Halfway House will be closed on Monday 19th September as a mark of respect. We extend our sincere condolences to The Royal Family and would, simply, like to say thank you to Her Majesty for her years of dedication and service.

Dear All. The Met office has issued a weather warning of extreme heat from Sunday 17th. To keep our staff healthy and happy we will be closing the kitchen at 4pm on Sunday. I hope this does not cause any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you enjoying a drink in our beer garden. Remember, it's very important to keep hydrated 😆. Enjoy the heat wave.

The weather is set fair for Bank Holiday Monday. Come along to The Halfway House for a couple of drinks in our fantastic beer garden and forget about Tuesday. The bar will be open from 12 until 6pm (restaurant remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Hope to see you soon. HWH

A big thank you to the Voiceworx choir who sang at The Halfway last night. They braved the weather for the first half of their performance and came inside later to wow the restaurant with some amazing sea shanties and summer songs. I will let you all know how much was raised for Marie Curie as soon as I have the figures. Once again thank you to the choir and to all those who turned up to support this worthy cause.

Fancy a sing-along? The Voiceworx choir will be performing at The Halfway on Friday 6th August from 7.30. With a mixture of sea-shanties and summer songs there will be something for everyone. This event is to raise money for Marie Curie cancer care so all donations will be gratefully received.
