We've always really prized seasonality here at the Taps. It just makes sense to savour flavours at their best, enjoy the months ticking past, taste the produce at its peak. Who wants strawberries in December? Not us.
On that note, back for another year, allow us to reintroduce....
Whitstable Wild Garlic Gin.
We've kept this one really simple, local wild garlic (foraged during its super short season) juniper and hawthorn berries, macerated, then vacuum distilled at a low temperature to preserve freshness.
It's big, bold, savoury and yes it tastes of garlic.
Drink it with tonic, or try it in a truly excellent Martini.
This is super, super small batch, but (thanks to last year's outrage) we have waxed up some of this year's output so you can buy one to take home...
