CLASS PERFORMANCE FROM THE LADS!

After a disappointing loss to Kings Arms through the week we knew we had to bounce back in this one.

⚽️ An early goal from Carl Lofthouse after some brilliant short passing set us on our way.

⚽️ A second shortly after from Lofty after a nice ball over the top from Ben Ferguson.

⚽️ Some great footwork for Lofty helped set up Brandon Tolson who shifted the ball from his right to his left and tucked home a tidy finish to see us in to HT 3-0 up.

⚽️ ⚽️ The 2nd half started much the same way when Lofty knocked the ball through for himself for his hattrick, and his 4th followed in a similar fashion to make it 5-0.

⚽️ A couple of goals back for the Swan to make it 5-2 before we brought Lofty back who assisted Brandon Tolson for his 2nd of the game with a brilliant run in front of his marker.

The double over Swan in the league gives us a good start to the league with a tough test next vs Thornhill on Thursday night.

Off the back of a good result on the Sunday the lads welcomed the challenge of Kings Arms.

⚽️ An early goal by Reece Connelly after some brilliant footwork by Carl Lofthouse saw us take a 1-0 lead.

Unfortunately for us thats when the knocks started. Hard work out there for the boys and Kings Arms started to get a foothold and we went in at HT at 1-1.

Kings Arms tucked in their 2nd shortly after HT with a freekick rifled through bodies and a late 3rd for them as we tried to chase the equaliser saw them take the 3 points.

The boys fought hard and trying to manage the squad with the injuries throughout took its toll.

We go again on Sunday at home vs Swan FC

INCREDIBLE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON!

Royal Oak FC back in action today and it was an absolute war against a hard hitting, tenacious Swan FC.

⚽️ First Goal was an excellent finish by Keelen Powe off a brilliant bit of recycling on a corner from Brandon Tolson

⚽️ Dale Anderton then pounced on some quick thinking from Daniel Slack clearing the ball right down the middle on a counter attack.

2-0 up but Swan battled back to make it 2-2 before HT.

Momentum no doubt with Swan they kept up the pressure and made it 3-2 but the never say die attitude of The Oak persevered.

⚽️ 7 minutes left to go, a nod down from Dale Anderton to the outside of the box and Alan Sim has hit a sweet left footed strike from 20yards out to make it 3-3.

Sunday league at it's finest we aren't sitting back for a point.

⚽️ A scramble in the box, a few headers back and forth and Swan heads it clear to the penalty spot where Brandon Tolson is coming on to it with a bullet header for 4-3 and gets us the much needed 3 points!

Refs MOM today for George West , or MOM for Keelan Powe!

Thank you for the support on the sidelines and on to King's Arms on Thursday!

Brilliant start to preseason with about 25 lads all getting a run out!!

Some class performances in some new shapes and morale is huge amongst the boys.

An excellent goal for Carl Lofthouse gave us the lead, starting preseason off the same way he finished off last year.

Miners pulled one back before Immanuel Ronquillo scored an absolute screamer from 25 yards out on his first appearance back at The Oak, picking up the Man of the Match aswell with a brilliant performance.

A late goal for Miners saw it finish 2-2 but the performances were brilliant and sets us up nicely for the next one.

Next up is a repeat of the final last year vs Zebras on Sunday
