Many of you will have noticed it’s been a very quiet year for me, as most of you will know. More to come next year…

However I couldn’t let this go by without saying a very Merry Christmas to everyone at The Oddfellows Arms. It’s the first Christmas we’ve had without Margo and it hasn’t hit me until tonight where I cried listening to Christmas music. We won’t ever have another pub full of such wonderful people again. Be it the Mummers or the spontaneous cheese boards with port…people just picking up instruments and everyone having a sing along, it will never happen again….

Please everyone raise a glass to Margo today, be it port or orange and soda 😂

At the request of the family, we announce the passing of the late Margo Thomson.
It is Margo’s wish that a private cremation take place.
For anyone wishing to pay their respects to Margo, the cortege will be passing through St Bees, pausing at The Odd Fellows Arms at approximately 10:30am on Wednesday 24th September.

Been a while since we posted, whoops!

For those who didn’t know, The Oddfellows Arms has gone up for sale in St Bees after our best friend and landlady Margo decided to retire. We hope it gets taken over by someone who wants to keep the pub trade alive in the village! Margo is settling in well to her new accommodation and is appreciating visits from the regulars. We hope everyone is keeping well and keeping busy. Please comment and let us know how you are keeping, and if you have any pictures from over the years please share them with some deets of the moment 🙂
