We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and let you know The Sipster Bar will be opening on Sunday and Monday from 1 - 8pm if you need to relieve the cabin fever.

Regrettably, we have to announce that The Sipster Bar will be closed for the next couple of weeks (possibly longer if restrictions are imposed).
We are a small team and some are having to isolate.
The Sipster Store remains open for now but this could change very quickly as we try to mitigate against the spread of the dreaded virus.
Thank you for your support during what has been a difficult 2 years for everyone.
We wish all our customers as Merry a Christmas as is possible and a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

***THE BAR IS OPEN ***
It’s been a long time, but we are finally pleased to announce that the upstairs bar has reopened.
There are however strict regulations in place to ensure that all of our customers and staff are safe.
Please read and follow the regulations (listed below) carefully and we hope to see you soon.

*LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE REGULATIONS *
Dear Customer,
Below are the new Covid 19 regulations as issued by Government.
These are legally enforceable meaning everyone is required to follow them. Which is good, because they’re designed to keep everyone safe.
A maximum of six people from a maximum of two households are permitted at a table in either The Sipster Bar or Tasting Room.
Contact details must be provided for all parties to facilitate the Track, Trace, Protect programme.
Face coverings must be worn, (unless medically exempt), when entering The Sipster and when moving about the premises. They are not required when you are seated.
Take your seat immediately on arrival in both The Sipster Bar and Tasting Room
You must remain seated for the duration of your visit, except when using the facilities.
Going to the bar, standing about, or moving between tables is not permitted.
Hand Sanitiser should be used when entering & exiting The Sipster, before & after using the toilet facilities and before & after using the Enomatic machines in The Tasting Room.
The Tasting Room closes at 10pm. The Sipster Bar closes at 11pm.
Compliance with these regulations is vital to limit the spread of the virus. Please help us to protect the health of you and your family, all our customers, our staff and their families too.

Hi All,

I sincerely hope you are all well and are patiently waiting to get back to some sort of 'NORMAL'.
Regretfully, under the current government guidance, The Sipster Bar is not allowed to open because we don't serve food. As soon as the guidance allows us, we shall look forward to welcoming you all once again in as safe an environment we can. We'll put out as many posts and messages as we can when that time comes.
We haven't been idle though. Planning permission has been sought and approved for a new outdoor terrace and work will be starting very soon on new toilet facilities. All to provide you with an even better Sipster experience.
In the meantime, Stay Safe, and if you're out and about this weekend in the bars and restaurants that can open, enjoy the craic.

As the Coronavirus crisis deepens, the safety and well-being of my staff, customers and the entire wider community is foremost on my mind. Therefore, I have decided to close The Sipster Liquor Store, Bar & Tasting Room until further notice.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my team for all their hard work and commitment, and to my customers for their valued friendship and support.

In the interests of trying to provide some level of service at this time however, I can offer home delivery on wine and spirit orders placed though our website thesipster.co.uk.

Please take good care of yourselves and each other. If you have a minute, watch this video which really strikes home what we need to do to stop this virus.

To all our dear and valued customers,

It is with a heavy heart that, owing to the intensifying Coronavirus public health crisis, we have made the decision to close The Bar and Tasting Room for the foreseeable future. (The Liquor Store remains open for the present, and we will advise you immediately should that change.)

Our hope in taking this early step is to help protect our staff, customers and our community as a whole.

We will miss you all enormously, but hopefully we will see you all again soon, in better and safer times.
