This Sunday at The Greyhound.

If you fancy an afternoon of smooth swing, Rat Pack classics, big band favourites and timeless singalong tunes, Sal is bringing the golden-era classics to our Afternoon Sessions.

Expect Sinatra-style swing, proper old-school standards, singalong favourites and classic music done properly.

Hopefully we’ll be out in the garden too, as the weather is looking pretty kind for Sunday. As always, we’ll play it by ear (and beer), but it’s shaping up nicely.

A relaxed Sunday afternoon, great atmosphere, good people and free entry.

Good evening, Whitchurch!

A little later than planned, but better late than never!

Here’s what’s coming up at The Greyhound this weekend…

From Thursday through to Sunday, Smashed Kitchen is open from 12pm, serving up all the burgers, loaded fries and other naughty bits you’ve promised yourself you weren’t having this week.

We’ll also be showing selected World Cup games throughout the weekend, so if football’s your thing, we’ve got you covered.

Saturday from 3pm we’re welcoming Keith’s Retro Rewind to The Greyhound for the very first time.

Expect wall-to-wall 70s and 80s classics, singalong anthems, dancefloor fillers and probably at least one song that’ll have you saying, “I haven’t heard this in years!”

Keith has also warned us that at some point he may hand over the microphone to anyone brave (or daft) enough to have a go themselves, so if you’ve secretly always wanted to be the next Tina Turner, George Michael or Bonnie Tyler, this could be your moment.

We’d love to see a few people making the effort and coming along in 70s or 80s gear. Flares, shell suits, leg warmers, dodgy wigs, shoulder pads… the more questionable the fashion choice, the better! Anyone who makes the effort gets a free shot on us.

Then on Sunday from 4pm it’s time for Afternoon Sessions with Sal Sings Swing.

Honestly, this bloke’s voice is ridiculous.

Expect Rat Pack favourites, Big Band classics and timeless songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and all the greats. Close your eyes and you’ll swear you’ve been transported back to the golden age of swing.

Happy Saturday, Whitchurch!

It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means our Northern Soul & Motown afternoon is back!

From 3pm until 7:30pm, Eddie King and Mikey G will be spinning the vinyl classics, so if you fancy a dance, a singalong, or just a great afternoon with good people, come and join us.

Smashed Kitchen is open from 12 noon, serving up juicy smash burgers, loaded fries and all the good stuff to keep you fuelled for the dancefloor.

As for the weather… well, let’s just say summer appears to have taken the day off. We’ll be keeping things indoors, but if the sun decides to make a guest appearance, our beaut beer garden will be ready and waiting.

And don’t forget, tomorrow The King is in the building!

Spencer Dale brings his Elvis tribute show to The Greyhound from 4pm. One afternoon of Northern Soul, one afternoon with Elvis. Not a bad weekend if you ask us.

It’s Friday. The weekend is here, the pints are pouring, and Smashed Kitchen is open from 12 noon serving up smash burgers, loaded fries and all the good stuff.

We’ve got a cracking weekend lined up at The Greyhound…

Saturday is all about Northern Soul & Motown from 3pm. Vinyl spinning, classics playing and plenty of reasons to get up, get down and have a dance. Proper tunes, proper atmosphere and a fantastic afternoon ahead.

Then on Sunday, Spencer Dale brings Elvis to The Greyhound from 4pm.

Uh-huh! The King is in the building.

Expect the hits, the moves, the swagger and a whole lot of hip-shaking. If you can’t help falling in love with a Sunday afternoon at The Greyhound, nobody can.

Great food. Great music. Great company.

Good morning, Whitchurch!

We’ve had a few people asking about the World Cup, so we’re pleased to say we’ll be showing England’s group games here at
The Greyhound:

England v Croatia Wednesday 17th June, 9pm

England v Ghana
Tuesday 23rd June, 9pm

England v Panama
Saturday 27th June, 10pm

We’ll also be showing plenty of the other World Cup matches throughout the tournament.

We will definitely be showing the matches that kick off on the right side of midnight.
We’ll keep you updated as the tournament gets underway.

Hi all,

We’re putting together a men’s mental health fundraiser at the beginning of August for a very worthwhile cause and are looking for a couple of solo or duo artists to get involved.

As this event is focused on raising awareness of men’s mental health, we’re particularly keen to hear from male performers who would be willing to donate a short set of around 30–45 minutes.

If you’d be interested in taking part, please drop me a message and we can have a chat about the details.

** Just to add, this event is specifically focused on men’s mental health. That doesn’t take away from the importance of women’s mental health or mental health support for anyone else. Every life matters, and everyone deserves support when they’re struggling. This particular fundraiser is simply shining a light on an issue that affects many men in our communities and is a cause we’re passionate about supporting.
