CALLING TIME 😭

Well, one final post on here to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who has supported us, laughed with us, partied with us and helped us make The C**k and Greyhound what it became - we love you all for that ❤

Unfortunately, no new managers were in place when the time came for us to hand the pub back, but hopefully it will only be closed for a short period of time before a re-opening.

What the future holds for the pub.... who knows, but we went big while we had it and we are eternally thankful to all of you and our amazing staff for making that happen!

IT'S OUR FINAL WEEKEND AT OUR BELOVED HOUND and we're having a leaving party on SATURDAY NIGHT! So, LET'S PARTY like it's 2099 😂

It's the BIG WEEKEND and WE WANT YOU!
We want to see as many people as possible and make it the best night EVER here ❤

Thanks for all of the messages, comments and kind words since announcing our departure and we're going to miss you all bucket loads - so come and give us the best send off possible!

😭😭 NEWS ALERT 😭😭

It's with GREAT SADNESS that I have to announce that after 4 glorious years, myself and Rob have decided to leave THE HOUND for pastures new! 😔

This beautiful town and the people in it have made our time here the BEST and we will miss you all massively.
Our locals have become our best friends and our staff over the last 4 years have been amazing - if we could take you with us, we would 😂

We have debated, struggled and cried over this heartbreaking decision, but we feel it's what is best for our little family at this time.

We officially hand over on February 16th, but will be having a leaving party on SATURDAY 11th FEBRUARY, so mark it in your diaries folks and come and wish us well for our last Saturday night at THE HOUND!

I will always see the hound as my first 'proper pub' having been there since before it even opened to help get it ready with the refurb and it will, along with customers (friends) alike, hold a special place in our lives.

Don't worry, we plan to pop back periodically to check you're all behaving yourselves 😂 and Lilly has made us promise to do so 😁

We will miss the characters, the capers, the laughter, fun and even the dodgy drawings that seem to 'appear' on some of my adverts and posters around the pub 😂

Can we please just THANK YOU ALL for making this pub what it is today - it's the best because you all make it that way ❤

We hope you'll make the next managers feel as welcome as us and keep the spirit of the pub alive!

Cask Appreciation post: Best Bitter

Feel like we don't talk enough about Best Bitter. The beer that started it all. Light, sweet malts with a wallop of peppery hoppiness. Nice and bitter, proper sessionable. A beaut on cask.
