The Waiting Room An oasis of calm in the centre of Whitby. We have cask beers, wines and ciders in a pub where people meet, talk and have a good time.

We don't have any TVs or music and don't sell spirits or lager

Dogs welcome. We are trying to create what a good pub was in the not too distant past. To this end, we encourage a convivial atmosphere where conversation takes over from electronics, people enjoy each others company and the drink provided is of a high standard. We also sell good wines, ciders and soft drinks as it isn't all about th

e beer! Please note, we do not sell lager or spirits and children are not allowed in The Waiting Room.

Just a little update on a few things going on over the Christmas period.

Tomorrow Tuesday the 23rd we have Ruth Price and Lynda Hardcastle and a few other singing some lovely Sheffield carols from 7pm.

Monday the 29th from 1pm-5pm we have the Christmas sing around ran by the Brilliant Tony Maher and Angie Maher.

Tuesday the 30th we have the Christmas Treasure hunt. Hosted by Nick.
All are welcome. Come join us for a pint and a song or two 😀.
