WE’RE HIRING 🍸

We’re looking for a couple of good humans to join The Nook team for weekends only.

We need a cocktail bartender and a glass collector/bar back to join us on Friday & Saturday nights.

We’re looking for people who are customer-focused, reliable and proper grafters. Experience is great for the bartender role, but attitude, personality and a willingness to get stuck in matter just as much.

These are permanent weekend positions, not just a few shifts here and there. Late night roles. Over 18s only please

THE ENDLESS SUMMER ☀️🍹🎶

What a bloody summer it’s been in Weymouth. Sunshine, packed beaches, warm nights a frankly heroic team and lots of beautiful cocktails. So for August Bank Holiday, we’re seeing it out properly.

FRIDAY kicks off at 7pm with Billy Hutchinson — one of the founding members of Weymouth legends The Leggomen.
So yes… we’ve got an actual Leggoman in the building. 🧱 Come and get your fix ❤️
Then Willis takes us late into the night.

SATURDAY — King Konga on bongos through the daytime, before DJ Soulglow & Ade go strictly vinyl after dark.

SUNDAY — Milk & Two Trio from 11pm to bring the Bank Holiday home.

And obviously, cocktails. Lots of cocktails. 🍸
Inside, outside, or cocktails to go for the beach.

It’s been one hell of a summer in Weymouth. We’re not quite ready to let it go yet.

🎓 A LEVEL RESULTS DAY

Today might feel like a pretty big deal.

Maybe you got exactly what you were hoping for. Maybe you absolutely smashed it. Maybe you opened that envelope and thought… well, that wasn’t quite the plan. 😬

Either way — you’ve reached the next level.

Because despite what it might feel like today, a set of results doesn’t decide how the rest of your life turns out. Plans change. Routes change. Sometimes the unexpected detour turns out to be the best bit.

So celebrate the wins, don’t panic about the surprises, and remember… there’s always a Plan B. And C. And probably D. ❤️

And if you’re still feeling a little UNDECIDED about what comes next… that seems rather appropriate, because The Undecided are LIVE at The Nook tonight from 10.30pm. 🎸😂

ECLIPSE GLASSES

Here’s a picture of DJ OJay with what could potentially be the last remaining pair of eclipse glasses in the world… 😎🌘

He’s willing to swap them for one of the following:

🏡 A detached (or semi-detached at a push) house in Bowleaze Cove
🎧 A pair of Technics 1210s
👶 Full wrap-around childcare for the remaining three weeks of the summer holidays
🛵 A white or orange Vespa 300

😂 Only joking… absolutely no swaps happening!

A huge thank you to howleys_toys Howleys Toymaster, Weymouth, where we managed to grab a couple of pairs early this morning. 🙌

We’re heading down to the beach later with a few freshly made cocktails to go to enjoy the spectacle. 🍸🌅🌘

If you’re planning on watching the eclipse this evening, pop in and grab a cocktail before you head to the seafront… then come back afterwards because The Hooked are live from 10:30pm to keep the night going! 🎶🍹

And remember folks - never look directly at the sun without special super duper glasses! Pretty sure we’ve got some old Cd cases and colanders knocking about if anyone gets desperate!
