Finally in just under 3 weeks our Club will re-open again. Monday the 17th of May in the evening is the date and from then on normal opening hours will resume. This is the first date that any hospitality venue can welcome people inside. The rule of 6 will still apply, as will the wearing of face masks when not seated. Table service will still be in place also. One change that the Government has made, is that every member in attendance at the Club needs to sign in, either using the Test and Trace NHS QI App which is available at the Club, or by signing in the good old pen and paper way!!

All this is of course subject to Government requirements and may change, hopefully in a positive way! The vaccine programme is a huge success, so perhaps normality is just around the corner.

Rest assured the Club will be following all Covid-19 Rules to ensure your safety.

As ever we hope you are all keeping safe, well and warm in these difficult times.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme is being rolled out very effectively in Weymouth we hear. Many of our members have had their first jab and some their second as well, which is brilliant news.

Hopefully, the Club will be able to open again at Easter, although watch this space! When we are able to open our doors again we shall have a full programme of events for you and will welcome you all back with a huge smile, a drink and some nibbles to mark the occasion! More details of that when we finally have a date!!

Of course we understand that to rid ourselves of this dreadful pandemic we must abide by and adhere to the rules. Rest assured that the Club, as it always has done through this awful time, will make sure your Club is Covid-19 safe before we open for you.

Again, thank you so much to all those members who have paid their annual subscriptions. We know you haven’t been able to access the Club as you would have liked, as with all other hospitality venues, but the annual subscriptions are our major source of income and sadly bills never go away!!

The method of subscription payments have been posted on a previous e-mail, also an officer will be present every Wednesday morning from 10am until Midday to take subscriptions or for any problems we can help you with, and of course you can post any correspondence through the post/door.

For all members that are not on our email list and wish to be, or if you have not received the email regarding payment methods please contact [email protected]

Once again thank you for your understanding, patience and tolerance in these unprecedented times.

Finally please take good care of you and yours.

The Committee, Officers and Stewards, Gary & Sally would like to wish all our valued members, their family and friends a Happy Christmas and a Healthy and Safe New Year.

The light is at the end of the tunnel we all hope with the advent of the vaccines!!

Sadly we did not get the news we had hoped for from the Government on the 17/12/20 and we remain in tier 2 and will therefore have to remain closed.

As soon as we get the green light from the Government that we can, we will reopen and will be raring to go!!

All the festivities we had planned from December will take place in January or as soon as we are able to open. This includes the “Christmas Draw”, Tea Party, Bingo, Wine-Tasting and the lunchtime and evening quizzes.

As we enter 2021, our annual membership fees become payable. This has been such a challenging year for the Club, due to the pandemic. However more than ever the Club needs our Membership Fees to continue to run our Club so successfully.

The Club will be available for membership fee payment every Wednesday from 10 am until 12pm throughout January or until we are able to open again. There is always one of the officers in attendance at this time.

We hope our Membership will continue to flourish and we as a Team of Committee and excellent staff promise we shall offer the best experience for you, your family and friends to enjoy in 2021.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this being the most difficult year.
