A personal message from Pauline’s family ❤️

In the early hours of Friday, 28th November, our family faced an unimaginable tragedy. My nephew, Thailah, and his beloved Grandma Pauline (in blue), known affectionately by him as “No No”, were caught in a sudden house fire.

By a miracle, Thailah managed to escape, but heartbreakingly, Pauline did not. Our hearts are shattered by this loss, and Thailah is understandably devastated.

The fire has destroyed all of Thailah’s personal belongings, leaving him with nothing but the clothes he escaped in.

Hearting breaking new on the street this morning.

We Heartbroken to hear about the tragic loss in the house fire.

Thinking of her family, friends, and everyone on High west Street during this devastating time. 🕊️💔

Our hearts go out to the family & neighbours for the loss of a truly beautiful lady.

Having spent her entire life on the street, moving into the Belv when she was just 5 years old, when her parents retired from being landlords Pete and Pauline took over and ran it for about 40 years.

Pauline was very special to me, our friendship ment so much to me and I will forever be grateful for Pauline’s wise words, humour and kindness xx

📣 💛 A little message to everyone who loved the Belv 💛

Please don’t blame the new owners for any changes you notice at the venue, it was NEVER their choice! It was the LANDLORDS DEMANDS.
They need all the help and support they can get — just like every other venue trying to keep things alive and welcoming, and will obviously want to create their own vision , same as we did and many before

Everyone played a part in creating a warm, happy space for everyone who walked through those doors.
That spirit is the beating heart of the Belv — Let’s keep the love and good energy going and be grateful it’s not a permanently closed venue.

The team don’t need negatives now, it’s time to look forwards
