A little note from the team 💚

We’ve seen a few comments recently from guests who’ve been disappointed after arriving without a booking and unfortunately being turned away - so we wanted to explain why we really do recommend booking ahead.

You might walk past and see a few empty tables, but chances are, those tables are already booked and we’re just waiting for those guests to arrive. Our busiest time is usually 12pm–2pm, so things can get very busy, very quickly!

We also take a lot of pride in the food we serve. Everything is cooked fresh to order using fresh produce - no defrosted meals, no microwaves and definitely no rushing you through your lunch.

When a table is booked, we need to allow enough time for guests to enjoy their meal, then for our team to clear, clean and reset the table before the next booking arrives. So even if a table looks empty, it may not be available to walk-ins.

We’ve had a huge upturn in numbers recently, and honestly, we couldn’t be more grateful ❤️ We’re a small team, often working with just one chef and one member of front of house, although we do our best to plan ahead and bring in extra hands when we know it’s going to be busy.

So, to avoid disappointment, please book ahead wherever possible. It makes life easier for our little team and means you can sit back, relax and enjoy your time with us without the worry of being turned away.
