After reopening briefly we have now been hit by another curve ball 🤬

Despite attempting to run a reputable independent establishment. PC Diggins from our local friendly police force has decided to object to our Christmas and New Year license.

Apparently we run a den of iniquity and Police fear further Public Order issues should Tavares attempt another Unlawful Entry !

Whilst we are on top of this from a legal perspective, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused our regulars and supporters.

We are also aware that the closure of Johnny’s has impacted local businesses.

We are in the process of making a formal complaint to Senior Officers at Watford Police Station and welcome as much support as possible in order to get Johnny’s open permanently.

We are delighted to announce that after Mario Tavares’ UNLAWFUL ENTRY yesterday the local police have helped us gain peaceable (and legal) re-entry into our own property.
We can’t say anymore because of pending legal proceedings🤨 but we are here for good!

Let’s get back to revving up for Christmas and getting back to what we enjoy doing the most,namely,delivering the best music experience in Watford.

URGENT UPDATE
⚠️⚠️⚠️🚨🚨🚨
Just to let all regulars and supporters of Johnny's know the reasons why we were unable to open today.
At 11 o'clock this morning our barmaid ,Lucy, was preparing to open for the day when she heard banging on the door. When she opened the door four 'heavies' plus Mario Tavares forced their way into the bar waving false paperwork around .They proceeded to change the locks and forced Lucy to leave. She was on her own.
Having taken legal advice our lawyer has confirmed that none of Tavares actions are legal and he will be in Court first thing on Monday where Injunctive Relief will be granted to us.
Having attempted every means possible to steal our business this is the latest ruse.
We are prepared for any eventuality and will report back shortly with some good news about our reopening!
