🎱🔥 THE JACKPOT ROLLS OVER AGAIN! 🔥🎱
Another exciting night of our Break, Run & Dish Challenge at Waterlooville Sports Bar, with a huge £625 jackpot up for grabs — working out at an incredible £40 per ball potted!
With plenty of spectators gathered around the table, Ronnie Clark was the lucky player drawn to take on the challenge.
Ronnie got off to a great start, potting a ball from the break and giving everyone hope that tonight might finally be the night the jackpot was won. The tension around the table quickly started to build as he stepped into his next shot.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, as the cue ball found its way into a pocket on his second shot, bringing his run to an end and leaving the jackpot untouched once again.
That means the prize fund rolls over to next week, starting at £625 plus all new entries and continuing to grow.
Will next week be the week someone finally takes it down? 🤔
📅 Join us next Friday for another chance to be drawn, take on the challenge, and have a shot at one of the biggest Break, Run & Dish jackpots we’ve seen.
🎱💰 £625 PLUS ALL NEW ENTRIES CARRIES OVER TO NEXT WEEK! 💰🎱

A great night of competitive matches, plenty of quality pool, and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the evening.

👏 Well done to Wayne Hyde and Connor Metcalf on reaching the semi-finals after some excellent performances.

🏆 Congratulations to Graham, who battled his way through a tough draw to reach the final against a very strong opponent.

🥇 And a massive congratulations to Pete Quinlan, who produced some superb pool to take the Underdogs title and the £80 winner’s prize! Pete will now play off a +1 handicap at the next tournament.

Weekly Junior Roundup

IT WAS honours even in this week’s Monday Junior Snooker League at Waterlooville Sports Bar.

Jesse Goncalves (pictured, right) and Lewis Harris (left) both won three of their four frames in the round-robin group.

Away from the club, Keira Jackson, Aaron Cook, Ryan Collins, Elliot Page and Sam Beasley represented Hampshire Youth in their victory over Surrey at the Academy in Basingstoke on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Alfie Wyatt competed in the English Under-19 Billiards Championship at The Maltings Q Club in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, but exited at the group stage.

---

ASHTON COBB (pictured) is the new leader of the Thursday Junior Pool League at Waterlooville Sports Bar.

In what is shaping up to be a closely fought title race, only three points separate the top four after five weeks of action.

Ashton won this week’s round-robin group by a single frame from Alfie Wyatt.

Aiden Jones made his Thursday league debut.

Meanwhile, debutant Oli Betteridge beat Keira Jackson by one frame to top the round-robin group in the Monday Junior Pool League. Another new player, Aiden Jones, enjoyed a promising start by winning a couple of his frames.

A new opportunity has also arisen for the club’s pool players. The club is launching five blackball singles leagues, split according to ability, with a £1,000 prize fund for each league.

Entry costs £100, with players playing one race-to-nine match every fortnight. Tables will be charged at a discounted single rate. See the poster on the club’s page for more details.

WPBSA coach Tim Dunkley runs snooker sessions for under-19s from 4.30pm-6.30pm every Monday, with junior pool leagues taking place every Monday and Thursday.

Are you looking for a new activity for your child?

Waterlooville Sports Bar has proudly run its Junior Snooker and Pool sessions since 2016, providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for young people aged 5-19 to learn, develop and have fun.

Sessions are overseen by WPBSA Snooker Coach Tim Dunkley, who has experience coaching everyone from complete beginners to county pool players and professional snooker players.

Children are taught much more than just how to pot balls. They learn:

• The rules and etiquette of both sports
• Technique and cue skills
• Concentration, patience and sportsmanship
• Respect for opponents and fellow players

Whether your child simply wants to enjoy a new hobby with friends or has ambitions to compete, we provide a pathway into local and national competitions in both snooker and pool.

Many of our juniors have gone on to represent Hampshire, compete nationally and develop a lifelong passion for the game.

Most importantly, our club is about having fun, making friends and giving young people a positive activity they can enjoy throughout their teenage years and well into adulthood.

Outside of our organised junior sessions, many families continue to enjoy the sport together. Under 18s are welcome to play at the club with a responsible adult outside of junior session times, giving parents and children the opportunity to share a hobby that can be enjoyed for life. Young people accompanied by an adult are welcome in the club during the daytime and evenings up until 9pm.

We are proud that many of our juniors first joined as children and have continued to enjoy the game recreationally with friends and family as they have grown older.

New recruits are welcome to join anytime and during the school summer holidays we are offering every new junior their first session FREE. We provide all cues and equipment needed during the session.

Come along and discover why so many local families have chosen Waterlooville Sports Bar since 2016.

🏆🎱 UNDERDOGS CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 🎱🏆

Congratulations to Jack Kensley, who was crowned this week’s Underdogs Champion! 👏

A fantastic performance from Jack, especially considering he’d just finished a 12-hour shift at work before the competition even started. The event didn’t finish until around 11pm, making his achievement even more impressive. He played brilliantly throughout the night and fully deserved the title.

A big well done also goes to:

🥈 Runner-up: Simon Browne
🎱 Semi-finalists: Pete Quinlan & Dean Tomlin

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it another great night of pool at Waterlooville Sports Bar.
