Happy New Year from all of us at The Wild Boar!

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us through 2025 — and especially to everyone who joined us last night for our Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
What a way to see the year out.

Thank you as well for all your lovely comments and for your patience while we pushed our little pub kitchen to its absolute limits last night — we really felt the love, and we couldn’t do this without you.

If you fancy easing into the New Year with us, we’re open today from midday until 10pm, with food served until 5pm.

And just to say — last night’s NYE quiz ran outside of our regular Sunday Quiz. The Sunday Quiz is back on this Sunday, with the estimated roll-over jackpot tipping the £300 mark 👀!

🎉 A MASSIVE MOVEMBER THANK YOU! 🎉

This year our mighty Movember crew – Wild Boar’s Balls – absolutely smashed it with their tash-growing dedication and fundraising spirit.

Between cash donations, online support, and our Guinness fundraising total, the team raised just shy of £1,000! 💷💛

That’s an incredible achievement and will go a long way in supporting men’s mental health, su***de prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer research. We couldn’t be prouder.

On Sunday we got the team back together for the Pub Quiz to capture the official ‘After’ pic, perfectly bookending the glorious ‘Before’ shot from the start of the month. The moustaches were big, bold, patchy, questionable… but always grown with pride.

To everyone who donated, cheered us on, or simply admired the face furniture—thank you. You helped make this such a brilliant community effort.
