With the excitement of Nibworth we forgot to post this months events!

Our community is rallying around one of our own after an awful accident abroad.

Will has been involved in a serious accident, and he and his family are now facing circumstances that none of us would ever want to imagine, far from home, at an incredibly frightening and difficult time.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help get Will home and support him and his family through what lies ahead.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it will make a genuine difference. And if you can’t donate, please share this post as far and wide as you can. Every share helps it reach another person who may be able to help.

This is one of those moments when a community can really show what it means to look after its own. ❤️

How has it been a week already!?!

The very best times are the ones spent with our community ❤️

Twelve months ago, we were dreaming of getting the pub open.

Never in a million years did we think that, in our very first year, we’d manage to bring Nibworth back too.

And what a weekend it was. 🥹

To every single person who has supported us, encouraged us, turned up, bought a pint, shared a post and believed in what we’re trying to create here - THANK YOU.

Thank you to our compère Gary.
Thank you to all of the brilliant bands Sam Frank, Molly Warburton, Sunbeat Band and Shelly's Bane who gave us an incredible day. 🎶
Thank you to Paige Marie the face painter - although we’re not entirely sure she realised quite how many grown men she’d be painting! 😂🎨 Apparently you’re never too old at Nibworth! ❤️
Thank you you to Stu, who took charge of Nibbles, our new food truck, and kept everyone fed all day! 🍔🙌 Another new adventure in an already pretty crazy first year! ❤️

And then there was the weather… 🌧️😂

It rained. And rained. And then rained some more.

But did anyone leave?!

NOPE! 😂🙌

You put your coats on, huddled under cover and just carried on dancing, singing, laughing and having the BEST time.

And if that doesn’t sum up the spirit of Nibworth, we don’t know what does. ❤️

A huge thank you, too, to everyone who came along and respected our neighbours. We wanted everyone to have an amazing weekend while still being mindful of the people around us and you did us proud. ❤️

But the biggest thank you of all has to go to our Nibworth committee.

The months of planning. The meetings. The messages. The organising. The problem solving. And then the hours and hours of work before, during and after the weekend.

And perhaps the craziest part?

Not one of them had ever run a pub before we started this journey! 😂

They do all of this alongside their own jobs, families and lives. They give their time voluntarily, simply because they care about this pub and this community land wanted to make something bloody brilliant happen for it. ❤️

Twelve months ago, all of this was just an idea.

Now the pub is open.

Nibworth is BACK.

And our community is together. ❤️

So, after all the meetings, planning, hard work, late nights, early mornings, stress… and a LOT of rain…

Has it all been worth it?!

HELL YES!!!! ❤️🙌🍻

We laughed. We danced. We sang. We got soaked. We probably drank a bit too much. 😂

But most importantly…

We were together.

And that’s what Nibworth is all about. ❤️

So… same again next year?! 👀😂

🍹 OSB lent us the bar for our cocktail tent, absolute legends!

We’re so lucky to have such brilliant local businesses willing to muck in and support each other.
