Whilst Stu and I are off playing out today, the bar is in the oversized safe hands of Cowboy Ben (seriously, have you seen the size of his fingers?) 🤠🍻

Ben has very kindly stepped in to help us out and, all jokes aside, he’s an absolute legend.

The bloke never stops. If a mate needs a hand, Ben’s there. If something needs doing, Ben’s doing it. Genuinely one of the good guys.

So if you pop in today and see him behind the bar, do us a favour and buy him a beer. He probably won’t ask for one, which is exactly why he deserves one.

Three ridiculously good hoppy beers from one of the breweries that helped put modern UK IPA on the map.

⚪ NEXUS // 6.5%
A deep dive into Cryo hops. Simcoe and Krush bringing waves of tropical fruit, citrus and soft resin.

🔵 HOOKED ON AOTEAROA // 7%
A New Zealand hop showcase packed with Riwaka, Nelson, Motueka and Eggers. Think white grape, lime zest, tropical fruit and a lovely herbal edge.

⚫ DIPA v20 // 8%
Cloudwater’s ongoing experiment in pushing hop flavour to the limit. Big grapefruit, bold bitterness and enough hop character to keep beer nerds talking for far longer than anyone asked them to.

At approximately 6:37pm yesterday, a beam of light broke through the clouds, reflected perfectly off a pint of Paulaner and chose CJ as its vessel.

We can’t explain it.
We won’t question it.

Some say he heard angels singing.
Others say he was just looking at the Untappd screen.

Either way, The Chosen One has risen.

The ancient texts foretold of a hero who would emerge from Stockton Heath, guided only by fresh beer and questionable life choices.

And now here we are.

Not four random releases either. Four collaborations with some of Canada’s best breweries ahead of next weekend’s Welcome To The Neighbourhood festival.

🇨🇦 Two Pines // 7% -
A soft, punchy DDH IPA loaded with Motueka & Riwaka.

🇨🇦 Ouest // 7.2% -
A West Coast IPA packed with Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron, Riwaka & Motueka.

🇨🇦 Capacitor // 8% -
A juicy DIPA bursting with Krush Cryo Fresh, Nectaron & Motueka.

🇨🇦 Neighbourhood ’26 // 10%

Fridge is absolutely stacked for the hot weather 🍻

German grapefruit radlers. Proper lemony natur radlers. Peach and raspberry Lindemans that taste like summer’s finally got its act together.

Cold, fruity, ridiculously refreshing and frighteningly easy to keep drinking.
