We've been giving our roast potatoes some extra TLC. Not that they weren't good before, but we're always looking for ways to make them even better!

They're now roasted in duck fat, with plenty of salt and garlic for maximum flavour and crispiness.

And for our vegetarian guests, don't worry; we cook separate batches in vegetable oil, with exactly the same care, attention and seasoning.

Because nobody should have to settle for an average roast potato.

Father’s Day falls on the summer solstice this year, so if the weather behaves, there’s a good chance Dad will be claiming a spot in our sunny garden with a pint 🍻

Join us on Sunday 21st June for a proper feast. Roast beef, pork, chicken or lamb, plus our vegan nut roast, with the option to go for a duo or trio of meats if Dad’s feeling ambitious.

Cauliflower cheese can be added on too, and of course, every roast comes with unlimited Yorkshire puddings and bottomless gravy.

Worried about parking when you come to visit us? Don’t be! 🙂

There are two main car parks nearby. West Street car park is around a 6 minute walk away, or there’s the National Trust car park, which is free for National Trust members and roughly a 7 minute stroll to us.

You’ll usually find some on-street parking around the village too.

If you fancy stretching your legs a bit more, Purbeck Park is a great option for avoiding the village traffic altogether. It’s about a 15 minute walk to us, or you can hop on the Swanage Railway steam train from the station there. Corfe Castle station is only 1 minute from our front door.

Our new pizza menu launches today 🍕

And this year, it’s had a bit of an upgrade.

Pinsa has officially arrived at The Greyhound. Lighter, crispier and stone-baked fresh to order in our pizza oven. Once you try one, you’ll get the hype.

We’ve also got 10-inch gluten-free pizza bases available, so nobody has to miss out.

Come hungry. We will feed you! 😁

Half term’s looking pretty good ☀️

If you’re heading to Corfe Castle this week, make a day of it. Wander round the village, get out on a walk, let the kids burn off some energy and then pop into The Greyhound for a well-earned pit stop.

The garden’s open for soaking up the sunshine, dogs are very welcome (with sausages and treats waiting for them), and we’ve got a kids menu sorted for the little ones too.

Oh… and while you’re here, why not grab a photo of the “most photographed pub in England” 📸
(We’re aware the castle behind us helps slightly 😉)

Your favourite pizzas are back starting bank holiday Monday… but even better this year 🍕

We’ve had so many people asking when they will return, so here’s the good news. From this bank holiday Monday, we’ll be serving authentic Roman-style pinsa at The Greyhound.

Long before pizza was around, the Romans were making pinsa. Ours are made from a slow fermented blend of wheat, rice and soy flour, then stone baked fresh to order in our traditional pizza oven. The result? Light, crispy, easier to digest and honestly… pretty hard to beat.

Once you try pinsa, normal pizza feels a bit disappointing. Just saying 😉

Join us for Rhythm & Roasts at The Greyhound on Sunday 24th May from 2pm to 7pm, hosted by DJ Alan Mathews. Expect chilled Ibiza sounds, drinks flowing, roast dinners coming out of the kitchen and that spectacular castle as a backdrop
