Commiserations to our 3rd XV for their narrow loss against Bridgnorth 3rd XV yesterday.

After taking an early lead, Bridgnorth fought their way back into it and made a few replacements that were reflected on the scoreboard. Walsall battled until the end to make it a closely fought result.

M&J Rugby is back TOMORROW!

We look forward to welcoming back all our fab mini and junior players after a well-deserved summer break.

We are always welcoming new players to all our age groups. If you want to give rugby a try, come down tomorrow morning. It doesn't matter if you have never played rugby before, you will have a great time learning a new sport whilst making new friends and most importantly, having fun.

For many of our players, tomorrow is their first opportunity to put all their hard work from pre-season into practice. The matches against Bridgnorth are always memorable and we are sure tomorrow will be no different.

On Friday 18th September, is taking Walsall Rugby Club to Spain for this month's themed food night.

These nights are always hugely popular and the food is absolutely delicious. For Spanish Night you will enjoy 7 authentic tapas dishes and vegetarian dishes are available too.

On Saturday, we played against Willenhall in a pre-season friendly.

Unfortunately, one of our players suffered an injury in the second half which required an ambulance. The West Midlands Ambulance () was on scene extremely quickly and they were not long followed by the Air Ambulance () which delighted many of the young fans watching.

We want to say a massive thank you to both services for their extremely quick response to assess and treat the player before taking him to New Cross Hospital where he has had surgery and is doing well. We also want to express our thanks to the players and supporters from Willenhall Rugby Club for their assistance!

▪︎U16'S RESULT & POTM▪︎

On Wednesday, our U16's played a pre-season friendly against Veseyans under the lights.

It was a fantastic, hard-fought match which gave the boys the perfect opportunity to put all their hard work from pre-season training to the test against a competitive Veseyans side.

After an entertaining and competitive match, our U16's came away with a 36-24 win.

A great performance which will give our boys more confidence as they look ahead to the new season.

This Saturday, a Walsall squad (3rd XV) will be travelling to Bridgnorth to play their 3rd XV in a pre-season friendly.
