I’ve mentioned it before but be prepared for a few days of ME deep diving into this weekend.
Coz It’s the ‘Jazz Weekender’ we’ve been harping on about and you can bet we’re excited!!!

There’s fliers all over the show but if you’re in any doubt who’s playing over the monster 4 day music marathon then here - have at it !

4 days of amazing music, coupled with special DJ Sets and tasty grub …. you don’t want to miss this long weekend, we’re prepping ourselves for a PROPER PARTAY

Our old-fashioned menus looking pretty splendid … have you made your way through the list yet? 🥃 or check out the new menus doing the rounds? A couple of gorgeous takes on a Negroni - maybe a spagliato?

The Medicine Men are BACK this afternoon for round 2 behind the decks this week - today from 2pm to celebrate alongside ya. Whether that celebration is just that it’s a Sunday is irrelevant!
Then from 6pm the first chords of our beloved Sunday Jazz Sesh will hit from the corner for some incredible live music to really get the evening going. You can expect to hear from the Ged Barry quartet tonight - Tallulahs regs, you lucky so&so’s ❤️

If If you’re wondering what calibre of musicians we get at then last night was a perfect example of THAT… Fresh off an American tour Eddie Gripper Graced our glorious Jazz corner for AN EXCEPTIONAL night of music. Alongside the house band .. the lot of ‘em played a blinder! Soz if you missed it - but you should know better 😂😂

Every week, a constant stream of talent passes through our doors. A music lovers DREAM. Excellent quality and worth a weekly trip to watch the famous corner ✌️

If you were listening to Jazz FM Yesterday then you might have heard your favourite corner bar have its 15 minutes of fame in a little shout out mention! We’re finally becoming world renowned 😂😂😂

We’re ready, get set, GO for another humdinger OF A WEEK - fancy a little what’s on? Go on then…

It’s the second Wednesday of the month and that means it’s ’Isaac and friends’ taking over our music corner and playing some serious sounds -playing from 7.30pm … pop in and indulge in ‘Wine Wednesday’ - £15 for a bottle of house paired with a bowl of something salty and some excellent music!? No brainer

On Thursday it’s our regular jazz club experience. Free entry and extremely popular This week we see the Eddie Gripper Trio dominating our famous corner and bringing some seriously good live jazz to our beautiful corner bar!

The Medicine Men are bringing forth their legendary ‘sound’ in their regular monthly residency this Friday night! These guys bring the perfect soundtrack to any good night - a Tallulahs force - you know it’s a good weekend of music when you spot this duo behind the wheels! 7.30 TIL late

On Saturday Big Mango is back behind the decks with his red telephone ☎️ this guys knows good music and curates a HELLUVA set. This month it’s all about the funk, soul , reggae and early hip hop! You are not ready.
8 til late ⏰

On Sunday the MM make their second appearance of the week - this time in weekend Balearic Brunch mode!
They plays all the way through til 6pm when our ‘jazz trio’ take to the corner for our special Sunday jazz sesh! ✌️

This week - it’s the Ged Barry quartet. Tallulahs’ regulars and firm fan favourite. This squares off the week just nicely!

Look here whilst I shamelessly tout our exciting ‘New Brighton Jazz Festival’ happening over 4 days in June with the help of our Mike Hughes’ face .. WHO by the way has done an expert job of curating some mega acts for your enjoyment. You can thank him later tonight yourselves!

The festival - all based at runs from Thursday 18th - Sunday 21st June and features some incredible Live jazz bands, Vinyl Djs, hot food and of course incredible drinks - coz HELLO - that’s what we DO!

Meanwhile it’s quite fitting to Segway into ANOTHER night of local live jazz - that being tonight at THURSDAY JAZZ CLUB!

Tonight Tallulahs is hosting Vidar Norheim alongside our now practically famous House Band in our beloved music corner!

8pm - 10pm
Free entry
Same as last week, same as next week.. and the week after!
You get my drift- basically it’s the same time all the time. So no excuses for turning up 10 minutes before the end and then being sad about it! 😂👍

The big fat weekly what’s on for this big fat week is HERE!

Wednesday night is our super chilled & always atmospheric sweet little playlist session - but as of this week there’s a cheeky little twist and that my friends is what we like to call WINE WEDNESDAYS! 🍷 🍷 🍷
A bottle of house Red, White or Rosé and a bowl of salty snacks for £15 - that’s less than the regular price of 2 glasses. It’s a steal, and it’s happening all day every Wednesday in your favourite corner bar ✌️

Thursdays Jazz Club sees newbie Vidar Norheim alongside our badass House Band taking centre stage for all you music lovers cramming into the bar this week!! Speaking of music you lovers - our now annual Jazz Fest is hitting on the long weekend of 18/19/20/21 of June. Keep your beady eyes out for more info on THAT!
8-10pm as and FREE as ever

The first Friday in June means the return of the Sounds of Sou and his uber eclectic mix is just WAITING to be mixed. Come and join us for the best start to the weekend ➡️ from 7.30 till late!

On Saturdays it’s the return of The New Brighton Food and Farmers Market - from 11am - 4pm there will be a LOAD of street traders with an amazing selection of fresh produce, fish, bread, pastries, locally sourced honey and preserves … the LOT. Get yourselves down and support independents and then meet us @ tallulahs for a lovely little bevvie after!
The Saturday Soul Train is in the hands of the LEGEND DJ Big Mango and his red telephone. ☎️ Mango is bringing his disco delights and will curate the best Saturday night you New Brightoners could wish for!!

Sunday sees the monthly feature of Albo Richardson stepping into our Brunchtime slot. He always brings a Boss selection of tunes to the Sunday opener and we have a scream- he plays from 2-6pm and in to the opener of our evening Jazz sesh. This week it’s the FAMOUS SWINGOLOGY back in our beloved music corner 🎵 - you know this is going to be a good’un

It’s Thursday and that means one very obvious thing - a jazz lovers dream.
Thursday jazz club has become a VERY busy night every single week at our little corner bar,
With new and revisiting super talent gracing our music corner it’s a PROPER TREAT to be a part of.

From 8-10pm every single Thursday night you can get your weekly dose of live music from local or visiting jazz musicians for FREE. It’s a no brainer really folks.

Tonight we see the return of Brian Rennie fronting our boss House Band. Brian is a Tallulahs’ regular and a lot of you will recognise his face. See you tonight Newbo coz is where it’s AT on a Thursday.

We’re open from 3 today to celebrate the sunshine … plenty of hours to chill in the heat until the first notes start playing…. ✌️
