Update 20th May.
The upstairs apartment has been refurbished and ready to be let out.
Walcott Lodges has been leased to a local company who will no doubt achieve great things with the business.
Now the Pub.
It's apparent that the village needs a responsible, catering led approach to building a successful business here in Walcott.
We are, from 21st May, actively recruiting tenants to take over the pub business.
The pub needs to open 6 days a week minimum, provide all day catering and adapt to modern food/drink trends.
Currently we are looking at a significantly reduced lease (13/1400pcm) to include the 3 bedroom apartment, the Pub and its Kitchen and fittings, in order to attract committed professionals ( or highly motivated first timers) to Walcott.
Special thanks must go to the outgoing landlords, Poppy and Dave Roberts for their efforts in such difficult circumstances.
Rest assured, the Pub will be in safe hands moving forward, recruitment will take a while, but will result in a positive outcome. There has already been two lease offers and an offer to purchase. We are still accepting new applications from catering led businesses. Local people would naturally take preference.
