So, don't miss this today's Sunday Music Session Special. John Watterson is bringing us his one man tribute to the late great Jake Thackray,
'An Audience without Jake Thackray'
Whether you're old enough to join in the nostalgia, remembering Jake from 1970s TV and theatre or not, you're going to be entertained by some brilliant comic song writing and John's fantastic interpretation of a Yorkshire icon.

As well as our usual mix of great music and comedy a couple of exciting departures from our norm coming up in November are;

This Sunday, November 1st at 3.30pm. ‘An Audience without Jake Thackray.’ Those of a certain age may remember Jake Thackray as a staple of TV shows such as ‘That’s Life’ and ‘Braden’s Week’ performing wonderful comic songs in his broad Yorkshire accent, with a delivery heavily influenced by French ‘chansonnier’ Georges Brassons. John Watterson (Fake Thackery) brings us his celebration of Jake’s unique musical and poetic style. Look forward to truly unique afternoon.

On Wednesday 18th November from 7pm. The Calder Vale will be opening specially to present ‘An Evening with Sarah Gillespie and Chris Montague.’ We’re thrilled that these two brilliant songwriters and musicians have chosen to include The Calder Vale on their national tour! Sarah Gillespie is a critically acclaimed Anglo-American songwriter described by The Guardian as “an incandescent presence with superior lyrics.” Chris Montague is one of the UK’s most distinctive guitar voices. He has been called: “The UK’s greatest jazz guitarist since John McLaughlin” and is currently professor of Jazz Guitar at The Royal Academy of Music. With support from Guy North it’s going to be a fantastic evening.
Tickets are £15 from www.wegottickets.com/f/26730.
