We are honoured to be remembered for the contribution the Red Shed and its members made to the mining family.

On Friday 21st August, from 12 noon until 2:30pm, a special memorial event will take place at the National Coal Mining Museum, where the Red Shed’s glass check will be unveiled as part of the Stephen Broadbent: Lives Lived, Lives Lost installation.

Places for this special event are limited, so if you would like to attend, please let us know and we will do our very best to make it possible.

We would also love to welcome everyone back to the Red Shed afterwards, where we can continue the afternoon with stories, memories, conversation and celebrations of the people and community who made it what it is.

The Red Shed will open from 2:30pm and remain open until 11pm.

It promises to be a meaningful day of remembrance, friendship and celebration, and we would love to see you there.

We’re underway with the second day of Cheers for 50 years. Wakefield CAMRA 50 year celebration.
We have sold lots and lots of beer yesterday, so some of the selection might look a little different. But don’t worry, we will have plenty of excellent beer for you to enjoy.
