Seasonal treat time!
Our resident mixologist Mark has been working in the kitchen this afternoon to come up with a winter warmer that you can make at home yourself too ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐จโ๐ณ๐ธ
Introducing... The sugar and spice martini! ๐ญ๐ฅ which is also featured on our winter specials menuโฆ if you want to book us over the festive period!
This creation features a homemade cinnamon syrup which is made by simmering 150ml water for 10 minutes with a cinnamon stick to realise the spicy goodness, before adding 100g of sugar (once off the heat)! Strain and leave the mixture to cool before making your cocktail! This makes enough for 4-5 cocktails and can be easily done in larger batches!
To mix your drink, add to your shaker:
- 1 Shot (25ml) - Cinnamon Syrup
- 1 & 1/4 Shot - Vodka
- 3/4 Shot - Cacao White
- 3 Shots - Half & Half (half milk / half cream to those of us new to cocktail making).
Shake well with ice in your favourite cocktail shaker until frothy and serve in a martini glass ๐ธ For a richer drink add 2:1 cream to milk ratio!
Once you've made your syrup it will intensify in flavour when left, and adding a splash of vodka will also help it keep too (perfect for around a month). Why not try using it in some baking or in your latte? That's if you haven't already used it all making cocktails... No judgment here!
